the level of violence to date is truly remarkable bearing in mind the dangers they are facing. However it will only encourage and embolden the Palestinians to increase the ferocity of their attacks with the intention of seeking world sympathy by evoking a harsh Israeli response. Israeli PR needs to match this with suitable film coverage of the rioters potentially lethal attacks with fire-bombs and rocks and at the same time use all necessary riot control methods to protect the IDF and restore calm.

The "local inhabitants" in Samaria are still there. They are the Arabic speaking Samarians now resisting Judean incursion. These "local Arabs" are ethnically Samarians (that is Hebrews, but non-rabbinical Jews) with a a present fate. The HEBREW Moslem Samarians (in Samaria - not "WB"), will continue to resist all kinds of Judean attempts to control them. Your only way is either to leave them alone or to exterminate them. They will not give up. Repeat: the Moslem Samarian Hebrews will not give up. Got the message ?

The Arabs can resist all they want but until they end their support for terrorism and destruction of a real sovereign State - Israel - the Jewish State is both morally and legally obligated to be present in areas to subdue terrorism and maintain security, since the PA is unwilling to do so.

They claim a desire for peace in signing the Oslo Accords, which specifically allows for limited settlement expansion and guaranteed inclusion of larger blocs into Israel, yet Arafat admitted in Arabic that it was all a farce to pacify Israel and replace it once and for all. Perhaps you need to brush up on your history before you mimic BDS talking points which ignore the PA's own security commitments.
