1. I have to admit it, I believe Diskin in this particular case
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (01.04.13)
2. Clearly, Diskin's own, narrow, egocentrical interests are
tom ,   tel aviv   (01.04.13)
above all else. This "article" is in a class of it's own! To think that THIS man was once in charge of our security is scary indeed!
3. Diskin: Netanyahu, Barak too weak
(01.04.13)
Every word he said is unfortunately: TOTALLY ACCURATE and true. Whoever had any common sense saw this years ago. Diskin only confirmed what everyone knows .
4. I think everybody new that except the two
DT ,   TA Israel   (01.04.13)
themselves and the Left
5. Too weak?
rom ,   israel   (01.04.13)
That's an understatement if I ever saw one.
6. DISKIN
JOHN TRAIN ,   WASHINGTON DC USA   (01.04.13)
I worked with Diskin and most high ranking Israeli military and intelligence officials. Most are competent and dedicated. Nearly all of them have very large egos. Diskin's recent comments are just untrue. They are harmful to Israel's survival.
7.  leave him breathe
sam ,   colorado-USA   (01.04.13)
Very silly It's clear that man is angry because he wanted to be head of the Mossad, so leave him breathe So as not to come to him as depression let him saying and leave him breathe
8. TO NO 3 "views"
sam ,   colorado-USA   (01.04.13)
Why did not speak before, why now,the all running his personal interests "views"
9. Diskin...
Toledano Jean-Pierre ,   Israel   (01.04.13)
As former head of the ISA (Shin Bet) Diskin has to stay silent about intelligence issues, the same for other ex-Mossad, ex-Amman chiefs,… On that point I'm very orthodox. He left the job, so like a lot of his predecessors he has to disappear in the anonymity. Normally, these old intelligence heads are coming together with the government and their successors about some issues, like Iran,… He was invited to give his opinion, but at the end the government decides. I don't argue if the man is right or wrong, but for Diskin, Dagan and others: gone is gone.
10. This isn't a news report
Doug ,   U.S.   (01.04.13)
If it is, then where is the news? The news is that he's "disgusted" and "profoundly concerned"? I suspect pre-election campaigning, here.
11. #3
Cohen,Israel   (01.04.13)
So every one who speaks not positive about our PM must be a scary man... If you can't take criticism then I suggest you move to Iran or N.Korea...
12. diskin is 100% right
bin ,   jerusalem   (01.04.13)
diskins impressions and fears of our PM are 100% right. Personal interest before state interest. PM-office you are a lame apparatus to try to blame diskin now acting out of revenge. Diskin is not alone in his assesment. Nealy all major actual and former security chiefs think the same.
13. Typical
Mike Carmel ,   Rishon le Zion   (01.04.13)
Typical juvenile reaction from the PM office. What else can we expect? Instead of addressing the issue all they do is pour scorn on Diskin personally. Can anyone believe these clowns anymore?
14. Limited conscience
bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (01.04.13)
seems this man should have resigned and took the heat of the revelations of this matter then, if he were so 'alarmed.' I am suspect of those who stay, remain silent if their so 'flabbergasted' and when their pensions are guaranteed, begin to lambast their superiors. Just sayin'...
15. # 5 JOHN TRAIN, WASHINGTON DC USA
bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (01.04.13)
Thank you sir. Your post alone has the ring of authenticity, I believe and agree with you. Any former member of the security of any nation would be wise to remain silent and thought wise rather than to speak and remove all doubt. Makes me think Israel was burdened with a coward who now has verified this fact. Shalom
16. sam, maybe the 'election'?
bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (01.04.13)
17. # 9 Toledano Jean Pierre, Israel.
bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (01.04.13)
I agree with you, especially your first sentence of your post. SIlence is golden. By slamming any PM of Israel he became more than suspect, his motives became dubious.
18. Yeah! I agree, but then...who IS strong?
Israeli 2   (01.04.13)
Barak and BIBI are too weak for me but who in politics is strong? Thus far, not even Lieberman. The only one was Rabbi Meir Kahane, Z"l., HYD. Feiglin? Bennet? NEH!
19. As according of what is publicly seen -
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (01.04.13)
- You seem to be right but, You cant tell if and what Obama may have privately promised the Israeli PM and DM, Because - what is in Israels Interest ? - To go alone or togheter with the US ?. Arn.Sweden.
20. Diskin
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (01.04.13)
Diskin implies that he, as a non-elected civil servant, sabotaged decisions made by Israel's democratically elected government. If he really did not trust them, he should have resigned his post and joined a political party. Instead, he is a traitor who plotted to destroy Israeli democracy. He needs to be stripped of all ranks, privileges, pension and citizenship, jailed for a very long time, and then deported to wherever will take him.
21. Diskin merely confirming
Sarah B   (01.04.13)
what many normal decent Israelis already knew. Netanyahu is only interested in Netanyahu, his profile on the world stage and what is in it for Netanyahu. I was in London during Lebanon2 whilst Netanyahu also in London was visiting the theatre and eating out of the finest restaurants, whilst our children were fighting, and dying. Netanyahu is a parasite, feeding off Israel whilst making no provision for the long term future of Israel. All decisions made are made using the equation what is in it for me. Diskin is merely confirming this
22. speaks
colin   (01.04.13)
Distin has a lot to say about nothing Nobody takes note of his so called wisdom
23. Netanyahu weak - not news
Rachel ,   US   (01.04.13)
I believe Diskin 100%.
24. Let's hope that more open their mouths
Sam ,   Kfar Saba   (01.04.13)
so that we can avoid another 4 disastrous years!
25. oh, come on
E. G. Marsch ,   Nahariya, Israel   (01.04.13)
First Diskin was saying Bibi and Barak were trigger-happy maniacs with a messianic complex. Now he says they're a couple of weakling patsies. I'm amazed that anybody buys this. Diskin is still sulking because they passed him over (after he finished as Shin Bit chief) for Mossad chief. He's getting his revenge and it makes no difference to him how much he blackens the name of the elected Israeli leadership and damages our cause particularly in the international arena. He's an embittered, sulking, nasty wannabe has-been.
26. Propaganda
michael Pielet ,   Israel   (01.04.13)
100% lies and distortions. Propaganda piece for the left. Rabin and Peres, Oslo a fraud perpetrated on the Jewish people. Sharon, withdrawal from Samaria and Gaza unmitigated disaster. Olmert, 2006 Lebanon incompetent decision making. For all of the above failures in fighting terrorism. Livni, incompetence in all she does. Peretz, a failed bolshevik.
27. To Sarah B from London
Chris ,   Austria   (01.04.13)
During Levanon2 Netanyahu wasn't PM, he was a leader of opposition and voluntary made a job instead disable FM Livni. Your comments are full of poison against him and simply untrue!
28. above
moishe   (01.04.13)
Israel has too many lawyers, politicians, experts and critics! otherwise it seems to work well.
29. Whether true or not...
Jake Stone ,   USA   (01.04.13)
...Diskin has his own agenda, and I'm sure it doesn't have the best-interests, of Israel, in mind! We all know Netanyahu is a weak, lying politician...like most are; but, during these perilous times, I don't think it's prudent, for Diskin, to air Israel's private, dirty laundry. The enemy is looking for any sort of weakness to capitalize on...politically or otherwise!
30. The ethical failure of former Shabak leader blabbering
Shalom Freedman ,   Jerusalem Israel   (01.04.13)
Once he opened his trap for 'The Gatekeepers' it was clear he would continue to do so, making it worse. Like Meir Dagan and like the other five former Shabak leaders who appeared in the politically motived 'Gatekeepers' he failed to be true to the ethic to which he devoted his life, the security of Israel.
