1. compared with Obama
noname ,   mycountry   (01.08.13)
.. who costs over a billion $ a year to maintain, Bibi is a real bargain. Not that one cannot find someone more economical. I would imagine Tibi or Mashal would charge much less..

10. Freedom of information law.
Philip ,   Afula, Israel   (01.08.13)
If the above mentioned law requires that the prime ministers office show how the money was spent why does it not happen. Unless of course the prime minister is above the law . I cannot make a judgement regarding the magnitude of the expenses or their necessity but I sure can draw me own conclusions regarding what seems to be double standards at best. Who is responsible and who has the authority to force the prime ministers office to obey the law.

16. PM living expense
Roxy ,   Israel   (01.09.13)
Put them on a strict budget like the rest of us, why should he live like a king while the rest of us struggle to put food in our mouths, and clothes on our backs? Let them wear clothes more than once, cut back on all expenses and live like we all do !
17. HOW MUCH KATSAV COST?
(01.09.13)
its all relative when you see the amounts generated by the profiteers.
18. The PM or king
yoel ,   Israel   (01.09.13)
the top ministers are making the most at the expence of the tax-payers- what is the State Comptroller doing about the PM's lavish way of living- pushing all his dark secrets under the carpet? and away from the publics eye- shocking and disagraceful- people in Israel are starving, with no clothers on their backs- yet the PM is allowed to do what he wants.
19. for the most part these are all legitimate expenses of a PM
zionist forever   (01.09.13)
The official PM residence belongs to the state so the state is obligated to maintain it. Communications expenses, cost of traveling abroad and medical services there again very basics the state must pay for because its all part the PM job. Security for the PM and his family, the state also provides security for the PM private home in this case Bibi has two homes so thats two so thats two places to watch over. The PM is entitled to a certain budget for clothing because he is obligated to dress in a certain manor as he represents the country, he can't go around in a leather jacket like Barak does. I do not though see a justification for $13,400 for clothes in a single year. The clothing budget should also be for the the PM alone except in events where he has to attend with his wife and she needs a new dress or something because then like Bibi she is representing the country so must look right but the rest of the time the budget should be for the PM alone. Expenses like they hotels, each PM has a different operating style but should be encouraged to avoid hotels when possible but if he does want to use a hotel it must be say a nice but cheap place not 5 star. For the most part these are just expenses that are involved in having a PM but there are some areas where savings can be made. Its not Bibi though that we need to complain to its the men who set the budgets, I doubt Bibi even knows what his budgets are he just does his job leave fine details to aides.
20. how much do official announcements cost
zionist forever   (01.09.13)
Why is it all official announcements are made from the King David Hotel. How much does the state have to pay the KDH to hire their conference room for the hour or so it takes to set up and make the speech? I am sure the Knesset either already does or has space for a place that can be used for making announcements to the press. Why do we need to use the KDH? Using the Knesset will save a fortune and looks more professional when the PM is making an official speech but the podium has King David Hotel or Knesset written on? That is a saving we should insist on.
21. No disclosure of details.
Yochai ,   Haifa, Israel   (01.09.13)
Just another middle eastern regime . Any normally run public buisness must give details of all expenses to make sure that they are in accord with company rules. If I recall correctly ,the presidents office also refused to give the required {by law} details re expenses. Failure to conform with the law is not tolerated for private citizens, what makes these two think that they are above the law. Maybe somebody in these offices has something to hide? Based on the history of past experience with Israeli public officials its not beyond the realms of reality.
22. Money doesn't go into a vaccuum
Dana   (01.10.13)
They are employing a vast quantity of people with special skills - gardeners, cooks, security guards, etc. A lot, if not most of the money goes back into the state. I'm not crazy about the concept that they reach max. amounts of spending but at least the money goes into Israeli laborers and stores in the most part.
23. # 22
Accountant ,   Third world, Israel.   (01.10.13)
"in the most part" is not acceptable book keeping. This is public money being spent and everything must be accounted for.
24. Really unacceptable.
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (01.10.13)
Rather to rent him a hut , somewhere in south Tel Aviv. He will get much help from illegal migrants there. Garbage cans are also a gold mine in TA.
25. clothing
joemoer ,   israel   (01.11.13)
Sara and Benjamin Netanyahu also purchased clothes for the highest sum permitted by the State – NIS 50,000 ($13,400). BY LOOKING AT THEM I WOULD NOT HAVE EVER GUESSED ..his shirts always look to tight around the neck ...always fiddling with his tie...maybe that pupular english pair could advise this royal family on how to dress
26. Miss Piggy
Muppet Fashion ,   Israel   (01.11.13)
Would be a lost case however much advice and money was spent on togging her out .
