Israelis don't like iidish; when I was a teenager I wanted to learn it, but there were no teachers. Slowly, as a lot of people become disappointed with their alyah absorption and come back to their countries of origin (like me), maybe iidish might flourish again in the diaspora. It was the real language of our ancestors, every day usage, not Ivrit.
