Report: Israel stopped Assad's chemical warfare    Ynet
1. Once again ....
Israel comes to the world's rescue. I don't think that the Pentagon can expect the same remarkable degree of cooperation and warning if Hagel's appointment passes the Senate. Don't lose sight of the fact that, despite all its bases in the Middle East, the United States would not have had sufficient time to deploy and mount a response. Only Israel can do that. In fact, only Israeli intelligence caught wind of Assad's likely intent to introduce nerve gas into the equation. I hope the international community keeps that in mind. I also wonder what else Israel knows that it has not yet revealed to any other country. I suspect the answer to that is "quite a bit."

Dear Sahrah I am also a fan of your talkbacks, please keep up the good work. May the light of Ahura Mazda, and Zarathustra's Eternal flame of light help Israel and Jewish Nation achieve their purpose of making the world a better place for all nations.

9. Think of how many Muslim-Arabs now owe their lives to Israel
but, of course, they will continue to spew hate at the liberal democratic and sovereign nation-state of the Jewish people, precisely because it it the national home of what they call "the sons of apes and pigs", i.e. Jews. How sad, and how sad most around the world refuse to see this reality.

During the cold war Israel was essential to America's interests in a region dominated by Soviet client states and when Israel captured any Soviet technology it passed it onto the US. In 1966 an Iraqi defector brought his MIG 21 which was top of the line back then and it allowed the US to study the captured MIG. All other captured Soviet equipment was shown to the US to study. One time Israel stole a brand new Egyptian radar system fresh from the Soviet Union by flying helicopters into Israel, dismantling it and bringing to Israel and again the US got to study it. Israel never saved the world but it has done the west plenty of favours. In 1981 the world condemned Israel for bombing Saddam's nuclear plant, in 1991when they fought Desert Storm they were saying thank god Israel took it out because Saddam would have had nukes by then These are just things that have become public but I imagine Israel has done plenty to help the west before but its kept quiet about If Assad is to use chemical weapons it will be Israeli pilots who are first on the scene knocking out Syrian radar, anti aircraft systems and chemical weapons facilities so alot fewer obstacles for US pilots to overcome with when they arrive. So sure Israel doesn't go around the world with aircraft carriers acting as global policeman and stopping foreign wars but at a local level it is essential for the western powers to do their jobs.

Or better yet how many millions of Iraqi's would of died in the counter strike. That would of been the bigger story. Think about over 100,000 Iraqi' casualties in operation desert storm and over 60,000 prisoners. Allied ( American) deaths less than 200 and less than 25 taken prisoner. That was one of the most lopsided wars of the 20th century. Should we thank Israel for that too.

1. Israel blew up the Osirac reactor in Baghdad, much to the extreme consternation of the rest of the world. Of course, a decade later, Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait. Would have been quite a different Gulf War, wouldn't it, had Iraq been a nuclear power? Think of all the Coalition members -- especially the Americans, the British, and the French -- that did NOT come home in body bags, thanks to Israel's foresight in mounting an operation to destroy the Iraqi reactor. 2. In October 2007, Israel bombed to smithereens a nuclear reactor being built in Deir ez-Zor in Syria. Of course, the world was up in arms. Then, things started to go to hell in Syria -- what do you think would be the present situation in Syria if the rebels were facing an Assad with nuclear weapons? I'm betting Mr. Erdogan would be soiling his trousers (no nasty pun intended). How's that for a tiny, besieged nation facing a world of anti-Semites?

Ah, thank you! I hadn't even thought to go back that far .... but since you did, permit me to augment your response with one more item of note. It was Israel that gave NATO its first look at the Soviet T-72 tank, whereupon it was quickly discovered that there was NOTHING -- but NOTHING -- in the NATO arsenal that could pierce the skin of the T-72. Thanks to Israel, NATO immediately focused on this rather severe -- fatal, actually -- shortcoming. Otherwise -- imagine the outcome if the Soviets had gone charging into Western Europe. I guess it's fair to say that Israel kept World War III from breaking out. And, as you say -- these are only the things we know about. I'm sure there is plenty which has not been revealed.

Unless you really want to be the one to pay housecalls on the families of over one million dead Coalition forces, yes, you certainly should.

15. Another thing Israel needs to stop doing
Let Hagel, Brennan, Obama and company figure it out. It's not as if they wouldn't condemn the Jews for defending themselves if any of these chemical weapons were used against them.

In 81, Israel broke the soviet block air defence kode, that rendered the soviets, defenceless, which hastened the collapse of communism.

Well, then how come the United States didn't know that Saddam Hussein's massive stocks of chemical and biological weapons were trucked across the border into Syria from Iraq until Israel informed them? And how come all that sophisticated satellite technology couldn't find bin Laden until the Mossad told you where to find him? And where was all that sophisticated satellite technology when a handful of barefoot warlords kicked United States ass in Somalia? And why is the United States sinking ever deeper into the morass in Afghanistan, Waziristan and Yemen -- I suppose since there aren't very many vehicles in those places, they don't need satellites that can read tags. If the Americans are really nice, perhaps Israel will teach them how to pinpoint a terrorist traveling in a car -- whether in a remote region or in a crowded city -- and take out that terrorist with one missile. And if the American administration behaves, perhaps Israel will teach you how to keep your drones aloft so that the Iranians don't keep shooting them down. I assure you that Israeli drones are watching every inch of Iran every minute of every day -- but the Iranians can't see us. Perhaps all the Americans are interested in are tag numbers of Iranian vehicles ... heh, heh, heh.

Just so you'll know each year Israel is providing the USA with intelligence that is equal to 3-4 CIA gather in the same year. Without Intel you are worth nothing and in that department Israel is at the top in the west and in the world. with all do respect to the CIA. Israel is small, yes but it is highly capable and very advanced. not only the US has satellites that can read plate numbers and just so you'll know, many things can't be spotted by satellites. without cooperation and support to each other not Israel nor the USA are worth anything. same thing goes to Europe. we are a lot stronger together, helping each other out and sharing info. sadly, Israel's allies have a short memory and sometimes they are worse than Israel's enemies with the way they act and the messages they send. it's sad that on the evil side, they know how to be real allies and how to be loyal and on the good side they don't.

So you have an access to CIA and Mossad files too? In regard to your brainless comments, a dozens of high ranking political and military echelons defected to US friendly or NATO countries seeking asylum including one general a former head of Syria's chemical weapons program. Mossad's intel is irrelevant at this point comparing with what they know and shared - It's beyond me why do you insist to make an ignorant a$$holes of yourself but please continue so I don't have to do that for you and save my valuable time and expose your lies on other forums ;) ,...

Levi Strauss was a crook and a fraud. He became an 'inventor' of blue jeans by erasing a real inventor's Jacob Davis' (Latvian) name on patent application making Strauss (a co-inventor on application*) a sole patent holder and an inventor ,... *Davis was broke but had an idea - Strauss promised to pay for application process for adding his name on an application as a co-inventor, the rest is a history,...

It's amazing to watch your hatred of Jews in play. You just cannot bear the thought that Israel is a modern, immensely powerful and successful country, while Europe is imploding. You cannot stand the thought that Jews are responsible for any inventions or any monumental discoveries whose impact upon the world resonates to this day. I guess it runs counter to those beliefs you were raised with -- you know, the ones you have shared with us concerning how your grandmother (!) felt about the Jewish people. And now, all that brain trust which used to be scattered throughout the world is highly centered in the United States and in Israel. Looks like your beloved babcha was all wrong, and that's what makes you squirm. Good. Keep squirming in denial. It does my Jewish heart good to watch how you twist and turn in your anti-Semitic rage.
