31. To all those who didn't get my talk-back
European   (01.09.13)
I simply gave a well-deserved answer to european at no.3. European (11)
32. Keren @ # 28
Eldad ,   Eilat, Israel   (01.09.13)
Are you out of your mind ? or just trying joke around. Why should the Americans seek our approval for their cabinet nominations ? Get real woman!!!
33. If as Israel claims......
Robert ,   Australia   (01.09.13)
.....it's been around for a million years, don't you think by now it should show a little maturity?
34. # 33
Dame Edna ,   Dimona,Israel.   (01.09.13)
LOL, look whos talking.
35. Israel, aren't you sick of obama yet?
bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (01.09.13)
obama must see himself as the President of Israel... He is not. Israel has no obligation to take orders from obama, period. Time that Israel just focus's on what's in her best interest, exclusively. No representative of the split parties of 'pals' will ever agree to live in peace with Israel, their mutual goal is the destruction of Israel. Seems that by Israel's building her own land, the point of the pals is now moot. ( add to that no pal money, and Abbas announcing his very profitable 'retirement' ) "This year Jerusalem", ALL of Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria. BUILD BABY BUILD !!!!
36. His nominee isn't a shoe in
bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (01.09.13)
and he isn't Sec. of State yet. Democrats and Republicans have legitimate concerns about Hagel whoever is ultimately approved will have to deal with a more hardened realistic Israeli who isn't going to cede any Israeli land for more terrorists camps for pals as is Gaza. Looks like Israel had made choices already independent of America and that, in a nut shell, angers obama the man who would be gawd... Too bad that obama knows nothing of what Israel, her land, her people, and most important, her G-d, her religion teaches and, that is that Israel is the "Promised Land" and that promise is kept and obama will only find frustration if he thinks he can order Israel about. Aint gonna happen ..... BUILD BABY BUILD !!!! ( If nothing else, it angers both obama and his Muslim friends, LOL and, that alone is well worth it. )
37. Pawns I don't know but America's exhausted from muslim wars.
bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (01.09.13)
and, we had more money and less restrictions back then. We also fought and won over enemies who knew when they were defeated and didn't use terrorism on civilians as do the Muslim terrorists.
38. Is Muslim massacre " maturity "?
bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (01.09.13)
Aborigines are also 'around for a million years' they are, in my opinion, far more 'mature' than you who invaded their native lands, kidnapped their children to "Christianize' them and create havoc on them. Silence is golden bozo.
39. Hagel's quote
Tomek ,   Poland   (01.09.13)
"his reference to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) as the "Jewish Lobby"". Even more outrageously, he called a spade a spade!
40. #39
Moshe of Rockville ,   Rockville,MD USA   (01.09.13)
The term "Jewish Lobby" is an expression that seems to border on anti-semitism. But no people, including Jews, are universally of a single opinion on anything. It is like saying that during WW2 Poles collaborated with the Nazi occupation. Many Poles did,but many did not. Many Poles risked their lives to save Jews. Many Poles assisted the Nazis in their efforts to kill Jews but many did not. Hagel is a foolish person who marches to his own tune. However, if he knows he is not the boss, he shouldn't be too bad as Sec.of Defense. There are better people who could do a better job as a team player.
41. The issue is not Israel ...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.09.13)
... because it really does not matter who runs the Pentagon; Congress controls how the Pentagon's funding is spent. The issue is Iran. The American people do not want a Secretary of Defense that is "soft" on Iran. For good reason.
42. TO 41 SARAH B
sam ,   colorado-USA   (01.09.13)
You don't know what have Iran, first strike is very easy but ending of war is not easy
43. All in danger
sam ,   colorado-USA   (01.09.13)
The Iranian threat isn't only to Israel but the risk of the Gulf states and U.S. forces also because bombing Iran's by nuclear will be catastrophic to all the countries of the region
44. To: No. 42
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.10.13)
Not if you have a vast arsenal of highly sophisticated nuclear weapons capable of being delivered from several platforms.
45. Israel a pawn? Har!
Norm ,   Minneapolis, USA   (01.11.13)
Israel is more of a dog-wagging tail. I'm glad Obama nominated Hagel. He's the president of the United States, not Israel's employee. Obama does support Israel, but its not his only concern. I'm glad he knows it.
