El al needs to cheapen the price and IMPROVE the service.

I'll certainly fly with EL AL now as it's far more convenient to fly from Luton than Heathrow and far better value than Easy Jet.
3. ElAl - costs like BA but get worse service than EasyJet
Frequent Flyer ,   Israel   (01.13.13)
I always avoid ElAl (plus AlItalia and Turkish). Worst companies in the World.

One time I was flying back to Israel via Luton and they gave me hell. Got the usual battery of questions then they started getting more intense. Where did I learn hebrew - ULPAN Where is the ulpan - RANNANA Was I in the army - YES Which branch - YES Did I know where I enlisted - YES What did I read for my bar mitzvah - i DONT REMEMBER IT WAS A LONG TIME AGO. What was the last festival - I think i mistakenly had said the one before that Then came more questions which I had answers to. I had both a British and Israeli passport, I spoke hebrew when he asked questions in hebrew and english when he switched into english. Not good enough. They took my backpack said it had to be searched and go in the hold and I must report to the gate when it opens. So I agreed. Got to the gate they asked a couple more questions then decided to search me had me pull down my pants and everything. I had bought a bottle of whiskey as a gift at duty free had the receipt they insisted that go in the hold. Finally a member of security personally took me onto the plane and to my seat. i have done proper security work before ( not sitting outside a building peering into bags ), I had proper training and so I understood the reasons for some questions but they rest of it seemed just questions for the sake of it. I don'tlook like a Middle Easterner, I knew hebrew, had 2 passports, answered all but a couple of their questions right but nothing satisfied them Since then I have tried to avoid Luton if I can so if EAL are going to start laying on more flights there hope they get their act together and learn when to stop asking the questions.

surely if you're such a fervent zionist you understand why they do such thorough security checks. part of it is to scare potential attackers - i'm pretty sure a potential terrorist would lose their bottle if they knew they were likely to come under that kind of scrutiny. don't be an idiot all your life and realise that the sad fact is that we are under constant threat. i also have british and israeli passport AND speak fluent hebrew AND work for a very big and well-known company connected to the aviation industry. and i STILL get the third degree.. but if it keeps us safe, they can get on with it.
