1. Forgiveness for what?
(01.10.13)
Treating young jewish girls on buses like the Nazi's treated us 70 years ago - I don't think so. You can roll naked in the snow till you catch frostbite, but it won't help repair bad middot. Derech eretz precedes the Torah. The mekubal should be giving mussar lessons to those thugs on the buses and not fairy tales about snow.
2. The color of snow
Superstition now ,   Israel   (01.10.13)
What color of snow needs Israel to avoid a cabalist's caw?
3. if this is right...
Nadav ,   Brazil   (01.10.13)
then russia is the holiest place in world! people there are forgiven half a year
4. What about Inuits?
Jarda ,   Czech Republic   (01.10.13)
Are they even able to commit any sin, as there's snow whole year.
5. The rabbi should save snow in the freezer for next year.
Michael ,   California, USA   (01.10.13)
In this way nobody will say it is "as interesting as last year's snow." I find these Kabalistic proofs very interesting and a significant material for Ynet articles. On a par with last year's snow for Ynet news stories.
6. FLURRIES FROM HEAVEN AND BLOW ON THE BACK OF YOUR HAND AND .
DAV ZEE ,   AMERICA THE BEAUTIUL   (01.10.13)
FLURRIES FROM HEAVEN AND BLOW ON THE BACK OF YOUR HAND AND make a wish... did you ever hear of such childish nonsense? What's next? Balloons? Chocolate Soup" Whistles? maybe a PARADE with CLOWNS?
7. Oh really?
Avi   (01.10.13)
While we're making up things, let's just skip Yom Kippur and pray for snow instead.
8. WOW!
Steve   (01.10.13)
Someone should provide the Batzri clan with a book on meteorology. I find it disturbing that among the very bright and capable citizens of Israel exists a large sect of throwbacks to the Dark Ages!
9. No idea
Ash ,   Sydney,Australia   (01.10.13)
It's so nice to hear comments from people who have no idea about kabbalism theory. I do not either but at least I don't throw comments which show i have no idea what it is all about.
10. I guess he really likes the Azrieli mall.
Avi   (01.10.13)
And he must really love us if we get a tsunami.
11. the rabbi is quite flakey himself, eh?
HaifaGuy   (01.10.13)
12. hey freak, no amount of snow
AntiJarda   (01.10.13)
will ever suffice to atone your filthy piggish antisemitism. Choke on it!
13. haha
druzey ,   london   (01.10.13)
so true. silly talk from the rabbi
14. Once a year is a lot better than 2000 years
Jacob E ,   Holon, Israel   (01.10.13)
If we Jews get snow once a year in Jerusalem, it's a lot better than that the Christians waiting over 2000 years since the last time their since were forgiven.
15. And no one had to be nailed to a cross
Jacob E ,   Holon, Israel   (01.10.13)
Do we have to wear a snowflake around our necks now though?
16. Haredim should be safe, move to Antartica
Israeili Jew ,   Israel   (01.10.13)
17. snow!!!!!
zach ,   south africa   (01.10.13)

18. Snow way!
Raoul ,   Herzliya Israel.   (01.10.13)
These guys are sure flaky.
19. So let's see, I can go out and commit murder
(01.10.13)
and then just pray for snow?
20. That means to say , that since I live in Montreal
Al   (01.10.13)
you should call me "St Al de Montreal' I've just been canonized.
21. superstitious none sense!
nadav ,   tlv   (01.10.13)
more medieval superstitious hoopla from the Orthodox and their beliefs in the supernatural! do they believe in goblins, wargs, and grumkins too? lol
22. Nutters
Mike Carmel ,   Rishon le Zion   (01.10.13)
So these nutters think they have a monopoly on the snow now as well, do they? The same snow fell in Jordan, Syria and Lebanon....are they all cleansed too now then? Ah no, of course not - they're not Jews.........
23. Those who love the Lord G*d hate evil/ sin
(01.10.13)
There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee. Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God. The sins of thy fathers shall visit the children to the third and fourth generations. The answer to the red and white can lie with a Levitical guilt offering. Flocks being led through dry parched land is a far cry from the green pastures.
24. Rabbi forgot to mention Talmudic advice
Anwar ,   Khartoom   (01.10.13)
that to pee in the snow is bad for the memory
25. Based on this logic
john   (01.10.13)
God must really love the Russians
26.  WHEN ABSURDITY WORKS.
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (01.10.13)
To see outside in the dark night switch off the light inside. To understand the spiritual do the same. Physical and spiritual laws are often the same. Snow bath for healing the sins? I heard of ice water bath for cancer treatment advised by a big oncologist. [i don t advise that]] Sounds like nonsense? That s because our reason has limits. Einstein said: "Once we accept our limits we can go beyond them".
27. please get your facts straight.
Jake ,   USA   (01.10.13)
It is not customary to "torture" oneself during Shovavim. People fast to atone for their sins, and as any learned Jew knows, your not supposed to fast if its torturous, because it has no meaning. Only if you can abstain from food & drink in order to elevate your spirit *without* thinking about food all day, you should consider fasting to atone for sins.
28. Whenever Ynet publishes an article on Judaism
Paul D ,   Jerusalem   (01.10.13)
it sounds like an Iranian lecturing on Jewish History. It is obvious you will never get the truth, or even a semblance of anything coherent. Since the agenda is to mock, not educate.
29. #26 ORA
JDE ,   Boston, USA   (01.10.13)
"Sounds like nonsense? That s because our reason has limits." Right - and if your holy rabbonim said the exact opposite - that is was *forbidden* to roll around in the snow - your response would be precisely the same: "our reason has limits".
30. Torture yourself? What religion does rabbi belong to???
Sifter   (01.10.13)
