Unfortunately, it is what it is, and if there is not a moderate center that can stand up to this powerful trend, future confrontations with the Western Nations is inevitable (dumb as that may be). So if the political situation does continue its swing to the extreme, moderates like you and I will have to (respectfully) keep our messages alive and hope that there will come a point where ideas of moderation can finally sink in and win the day.
