31. 26 - Praying, if that is what you fancy, is a private affair
split ,   US   (01.13.13)
That said you wouldn't mind to ban synagogues at international airports would you? Unlike country club it's a public property sustained by taxpayers money - By the way I agree it's private affair and should be kept private,...
32. Jewish Prayers on Temple Mount also FORBIDDEN !
Roland Seener ,   London England   (01.13.13)
A 'Kal V'Chomer'
33. #10 - then you support Jews praying on the Temple Mount?
BH ,   Iowa   (01.13.13)

SHAUN ,   TA Israel   (01.13.13)
I had a business in the uk, am a Jewish Israeli and employed 30 people, 90% of whom were muslim. A couple were devout Muslims and were allowed to pray in a quiet corner. During Ramadan most prayed together openly and there was nothing but respect and tolerance from management and employees. The above sounds like an Arab looking to cause a commotion and get publicity, not connection to god.
35. Freedom to pray
Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (01.13.13)
I am offended at the idea that Muslims were prohibited to pray at a country club in Israel. I do not see why they would be denied this freedom. Jews historically have also been prevented from praying freely and it's immoral for Jews to do so to others. That's assuming that Abu Jumaa was not acting in a matter to be provocative, which may be the case.
36. There are better places to pray ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.13.13)
.... than a country club. This was an act of deliberate aggression; not of piety. Sorry.
37. #10 of course it doesn't bother this hypcrite
jerome ,   basalt, colorado   (01.13.13)
that in saudi and many muslime countries that no Jews or are even allowed at all! It onlly bothers this frankocrite because he is the racist Jew hater. what a moron

jerome ,   basalt, colorado   (01.13.13)
you obviously are very ignorant and have a strong opinion which is a very sorry way to go through life. you have never been to Israel. you mistake Israel for protecting themselves with checkpoints and security fences that the arabs brought on themselves by the constant murder homicide against the Jews. try to get rid of your stupid ignorance and your hate will follow. have a great day you putz.
39. Praying in public is OK. Kissing not !
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (01.13.13)
Orthodox and Secular Jews have different values. Let us be mutually tolerant. Right?
40. the place to pray is in a house of worhsip or in your home
Scott ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (01.13.13)
If you want to pray quietly by yourself fin public, that's one thing. But to form a prayer group at a country club is absurd. Just because you have membership, you have to be respectful of the other members.
41. praying?!
yosef ,   usa - israel   (01.13.13)
Like nasty children, our Semitic cousins will do anything to attract attention - it is their very "raison du etre" - to disturb, damage, destroy, steal or otherwise aggravate the Jewish nation in every way and means possible - just like the Amalek, that they are...
42. london parks
london resident   (01.13.13)
our local park in summer now has crowds of Muslims praying . Its happening everywhere and is no coincidence. I have complained to the local council as I believed parks are for recreation and that religion and politics should be kept to buildings for those who practice their religion. The council would not respond. However if everybody practices their religious rituals at any place they wish to, there is a risk of serious disorder breaking out in places where children play and were previously peaceful places

zionist forever   (01.13.13)
There is no need for prayer rooms as long as there is somebody for them to go to. All they need to do is respect club rules on prayer and go as at reception for a place to go pray and they will arrange something. The problem here is the man thought he had a right to pray anywhere he liked because he was told to go upstairs to pray so he was even being given an alternative but because that alternative didn't suit him it got out of control.

If the club didn't set the rules then when the management said these are the rules he should have said ok.
45. # 30
Birdi ,   Israel   (01.14.13)
Jews & Arabs cant even live side by side in peace & harmony & here you are suggesting muslims pray in our synagogues & visa versa. Good grief, what next will you concoct?
46. any sport complex is not a place to woship.
jonathan brender ,   miami, usa   (01.14.13)
any sport complex is not a place to worship. this is basic knowledge. why are so many people so ignorant and stupid.
47. what if it was the other way round?
avner ,   tel aviv   (01.14.13)
Come on people the guy just wanted to pray. I would like to listen your opinions if it was a Jew the one that was denied the right to pray in another country.
48. No place for religious rituals in the country club
Haim ,   TA   (01.14.13)
Any form of praying should be banned in country clubs and gyms. Regardless of religious type, flaunting religion in peoples face like that should be illegal in public. What they do in the privacy of their own homes is their bussiness but flaunting religious ceremonies in public is not acceptable.
49. #45
Keren ,   IL-BR   (01.14.13)
Perhaps they convert to Judaism... :)
50. One should understand that Beersheva
Maurice ,   Paris   (01.14.13)
is neither London or Toulouse or Marseilles where Muslims pray in the streets every friday.
51. to 11
mania ,   jerusalem   (01.14.13)
you can pray in any place go will listen but you can not make the temple mount as a club people will refuse an god always listen
52. Crazy
Philip ,   Afula, Israel   (01.14.13)
You go to a gym to play, you go to a prayer house to pray. Whats so difficult to understand here.
53. Beersheba
Debbie ,   Israel   (01.14.13)
Personally, If I want to pray, see or hear prayers, I'll go to the synagogue. I don't expect to go to work out and swim and see people around me conducting their prayers. And why did this member insist on "praying at the entrance"? or on synthetic grass? If it was so urgent to stop and pray he could have prayed where it was suggested to him, not at the entrance. I know at the C.C. that I go to, people are entering in wheelchairs and strollers and no one, Jew or Arab, would be allowed to stand in the entrance and pray.
54. There's a time and place for everything
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (01.14.13)
Country club is not the place for praying. We all know that Muslim prayers are the putting down of the rug facing eastward? and getting down on his knees and supplicating himself to his 'God' - they are doing it in Europe in the middle of the streets and parks. This is not only incitement but also thumbing their nose at others - like their way is the true belief and ours isn't. Fanatic Crusader Syndrome.
55. Beersheva
Debbie ,   Israel   (01.14.13)
No. 14, ADAM HELBERG "Israelis are not known for tact?" SERIOUSLY? I guarantee you that if this happened in a U.S. country club, a guard would be immediately called, and even the police. They would not have let it go as the manager did. In the U.S. you don't follow the rules, you're out. Americans are very strict about rules. I know, I grew up there, and am there all the time.
56. Put down your mat and its a shrine
Martin ,   SA   (01.14.13)
Cant just prey where you want. Muslim acquire the place where they prey. Ground Zero if two people prey then they have imposed holiness on the place. You definately need strict rules for Muslims because of this. Its not just a casual arrangement.
57. I would have told him to **** off
jack bauer   (01.21.13)
he is instigating and trying to mark his territory while other people are there working out. He should piss off and go home to pray or to the mosque. He has no business making trouble and causing a scene in gym. Revoke his membership and send him packing
