In Israel people file complaints against each other out of spite! there is no innocent until proven guilty! once you have a police complaint against you, its equivalent to being sentenced guilty in court! jobs will not hire you, regardless of if you are innocent or not! Israeli's take advantage of this all the time! especially the ones that are good liars!! the satisfaction of knowing you can legally ruin someones life, is a good alternative to actually resorting to violence. im not saying this is the case with the rabbi, but it could be!!
