Livni stands with Israel's enemies (such as Obama and Abbas) against Israel and against the democratically elected government of Israel. The left still seem to think that the peace process is the top priority for most Israelis when deciding who to vote for the way it was in the 90s when everybody believed oslo was a wonder drug that would bring real peace. Most people do support a two states but they have seen peace plans come and go so nobody gets excited about a new one. Meretz has never cared about anything but the peace process whilst. Shelly has now gone from being all social justice and not much else to all peace process because thats what other parties are talking about and her refusal to join a right wing coalition won't be popular with swing voters. One week before the election Livni has decided to be the new champion of the peace process and wants to start working with Obama straight away and he is not exactly the most loved American in Israel. whose vote does she want Israeli or Democrats? To make it all worse for the left they are bickering with each other over who is most committed to peace. Lapid the snake oil salesman is the only one not taking sides or promoting an specific ideology so he makes no enemies and once the election is over he can prostitute his Knesset seats to the highest bidder.

That is that Israel should take the initiative. That's where it ends. Europe may be one step away from boycotts, but it is also one step away from being overrun by Muslims. It is also one step away from financial collapse. Israel needs to send a clear message with regards to its position and to make it consistent, not equivocate at every turn. If Livni's political positions were different, I would easily say she should be FM, as she at least has some sort of strategic vision, even if it is flawed. I would also say that Israel needs not to burn bridges needlessly, but it needs to recognize that the US and Europe have some deeper issues and that their governments will eventually look to place the blame externally on someone. It would be good to build deeper ties with China, Russia, India, and other countries to counterbalance this. These countries don't give a damn about "human rights", Palestinians, or all the other humanistic nonsense that comes along with the European and to a lesser extent, American discourses. At the same time, Israel needs to rebuild its ties to American and European Jews, but not like it was before, where it was a one way street where Israel asked for money and gave nothing in return.

Livni is such a serial liar that during cast lead in january 2009 the eu cancelled the upgrade in relations with israel and livni said nothing. Then the media in april 2009 when bibi took office the eu commissioner in charge of it said the upgrade was still cancelled. Livni turns around and writes the EU saying how bad bibi is and how people like her have all these great visions. She then held a press conference blasting bibi for the cancelled upgrade. It was a complete lie when in fact the upgrade had been cancelled when she was FM during cast lead.
