You might be surprised to learn Americans do not for one second, misunderstand the peril Israel faces. It can also be said most Americans (not just the Jewish sector) are starting to fully understand the Arab/Islamic mindset and that could mean an endless struggle is likely. Where we apparently disagree is on how Israel is best protected; as a dearly beloved ally, or as a mean spirited partner whose policies run cross grain with the ideals of democracy and freedom we two always shared. What you need to understand is what Abbas & his followers want. What Hamas wants. Jerusalem will not be divided, not now, not ever. Returning to the 67 borders will not happen.
