I can think of 2 good reasons why the Arab newspapers are so obsessed by Israel's election.
1)They cannot comment on PA elections because the PA has stopped holding them.
2)Open,free,peaceful elections in a democratic country are simply too bewildering for them to come to terms with.

The Arab press's argument seems to be that only a left leaning Israel government can be a successful peace partner.
Well,they'd better explain to us how the Israel-Egypt Peace Treaty was negotiated and signed by Menachem Begin and his Herut government.That lays the lie.
Israel has no peace partner;THAT'S the obstacle to peace.
