we can make money by running races there, like the Bonneville Salt Flats. PS: it plays no part in our cultural heritage.

Your comment is about as lifeless of wisdom for Israel and Jordan as a dehydrated field of grass. The Dead Sea is not dying a natural death. It is being killed..... deprived of its natural supply because Israelis and Jordanians need to take water from the Jordan river in order to quench their thirst, irrigate their crops, flush their toilets and wash themselves ......... oh, and clean and cook their food ......... oh, and process and manufacture their food etcetera etcetera. Can we believe that is a course that can run on and on!!! Nope. We need to desalinate more ofthe Mediterranean and the Red Sea for national consumption and thence leave the river Jordan to return to its natural course. it would be an expense neither Israel or Jordan can afford to pay to build the pipeline. Moreover, as Israel is better placed to build desalination plants Israel can then let Jordan take more from the river. Eventually our neighbours will be able to afford this kind of technological solution. We should spend the money on more difficult problems. Water is the easiest of the international problems we face.

You go ahead with the project and make sure that the sides of the canal are attractive enough to be the sites or large apartment towers, woodlands, and gardens.Sell these apartments at a premium and you will help defray some of the cost ot the project itself. Yes ..it will look like Florida and yet..there's nothing wrong with looking like Florida.
5. only Notzrim need a "Jordan River"

humans are part of nature. we have as much right to drink & bathe as do birds or frogs. And if the Jordanian occupiers of Eastern Judea are running out of water..... then let them go back to where they came from - Saudi.
