Israel exists in a largely anti-Semitic world. The Muslim countries of that world want Israel destroyed, and call for death to the Jews. The European countries wouldn't mind if Israel was destroyed, if that would make the Muslims happy. Obama wants to make the Muslim World happy. And so, in the midst of that, Israel has to survive, and its quest for survival is being called "Extremism". Those who love Israel are primarily concerned with its survival, and say that is paramount. Those who criticize Israel's quest for survival obviously have other concerns.
