Gregg, I live half my life in France and I know France well. Of course "Jews" do not "control" businesses and media. There are some succesful Jews who have done well, but: 1. Most of both the businesses and media in France have no Jewish connection. 2. The fact that some succesful people in business and media are Jewish does not mean that there is a collective, "The Jews", that control anything. So saying that some succesful businessmen or reporters are Jewish is not anti-semitic. Trying to paint a picture of "The Jews" controlling business and media IS both false and anti-semitic.

At they same time that they strongly encourage jews to emigrate to Israel (as if you can't be a jew and a citizen of another country), they get annoyed when someone suggests that diaspora jews feel more Israeli than French/American/etc. A bit contradictory.
