1. Oh...please ,children,don´t fight!
Keren ,   IL-BR   (01.28.13)
Excuse me for the joke, but ,actually, in Israel should not exist such thing as a radical position and opposition. In the present case, the 15 constituents should write down their positions and points about economy, security, social etc and, after that ,all should sit together to discuss the common and not common points and after that, eventually ,submit to a vote among themselves about being in the position or opposition. Shelly is wrong imposing.
2. Labor doing Israel a great favor!
Rachel ,   US   (01.28.13)
Please stay in the opposition.
3. Get rid of her already
Alfonso Buzlago ,   Tiberias, Israel   (01.28.13)
She is simply NOT SUITABLE to be a party leader.
4. Labor Party = idiot socialists that still believe in Oslo
Alice ,   Wonderland   (01.28.13)
When will they grow up?
5. "agree not to join 'capitalistic' Netanyahu govt"
William ,   Israel   (01.28.13)
Seriously? What social programs did labor put in place when they were in power? What price controls and shared obligations between citizens were presented? Nothing worthy of mention, and the problems the social justice protesters decry today are the same that existed during a Leftist govt, which they failed to address as well. Labor is simply trying to bet on the short-term memory span of Israeli citizens, especially the youth, but unlike in the US where that is possible, Israeli citizens are largely engaged in politics and can see through the crap Labor is dishing out.
6. #4 - when did Alice in Wonderland grow up?
William ,   Israel   (01.28.13)
7. Capitalism
Elka ,   Netanya   (01.28.13)
The Russians who know exactly what socialism is--vote against it--wonder why? Only those who want a give me, I'm entitled gov't are going to be against capitalism. Look what socialism has gotten us. Electrical bills through the roof as Chevra Chasmal employees live in electric houses with extras most dream of--this we need more of???? It is time for society to help those who truly need it but also provide a way for those who work and increase their economic level to see the rewards of their labor. THAT is called capitalism. Why should I work if socialism gives me everything while sitting on my butt!
8. Labor alienates Israel with its loony left agenda.
Chaim ,   Israel   (01.28.13)
If the lunatic leftist of Labor had their way, Israel's waist would be trimmed to 9 miles. "Palestinian" rockets would regularly shower every Israeli cityand town, while Arab armies massed for the 15 minute tank ride to cut Israel in half. Labor alienates Israel with its lunacy.
9. Capitalism
Raptor   (01.28.13)
is the lifeline, the oxygen for social welfare. Socialism is the bane of capitalism. Capitalism can exist and succeed on its own, whereas Socialism cannot. If the labor party were to change its name to the Social Democratic Party and ditch all the old fasioned rhetoric then it might have a better chance.
10. opposition
john ,   toronto   (01.28.13)
Opposition is a good place to be in.All opposition members should join .Name calling will last till the government is formed.
11. Plain & Simple
B ,   Tel Aviv, Israel.   (01.29.13)
So there you have it, Labor and the Left are NOT democratic.
12. What Socialism?
Joe Malanti ,   Israel   (01.29.13)
“There is no difference between the prime minister and his partners. [Yesh Atid leader Yair] Lapid also has an extremist capitalist worldview.” Just for your information ms. Yacimovich: the kibbutzim who were the bastions of the socialist movement no longer practice socialism, and have in fact become hardened capitalists. The attitude of some members of kibbutzim, although professing to being socialists, is capitalistic in the extreme and their personal greed for money and goods are witness thereto. I personally know as I am a kibbutz member, much to my regret.
