Do you really think Barrymore is leaving Christianity to convert? No, she's going from no faith to Judaism, the faith of her husband and her daughter. She actually says in the article that she finds the traditions and the faith beautiful. It's just a shame that you don't find Judaism beautiful and fulfilling enough to stand on its own. Giving a child two irreconcilable faiths is essentially giving him or her no faith.
