What madness to erase the little that is left of that horrible but sacred sspace the building must be filled with the "ghosts" of the ghetto , no it is not beautiful but neither was the holocaust , shame shame on the Jewish community there for even considering to destroy it !! To often Jewish communities around the world sell or destroy or neglect there past historic buildings for a people of history they sadly often neglect theirs,

Replace the building, but preserve the 200 year old basement, and turn it into a museum reflecting the history of the structure.

The Jewish community in Poland is a living proof that Our People can't be eradicated , by nobody . Jews there also need a place to meet , and eventually , for some , to pray . If the location of this old building is good , the money they will make can allow them to build a new center , or to receive the needed space for their use in this new building . A year ago a new center was also inaugurated in Minsk , with meeting place , library ,restaurant , a synagogue and even a mikva i think .

And Renovate It? It looks like a derelict shelter for homeless bums.
