Panetta: Hezbollah could get arms from Syrian 'chaos'     AFP
1. Oh, how pathetic
Where is the alleged power of the United States? Israel's doing all the heavy lifting. Can the United States stop wringing its hands long enough to lend a hand? If you cannot -- well, stay the hell out of Israel's way. Frankly -- staying out of our way is the better option. The United States is inept. Oh, don't worry. Israel will clean up your mess. And you had BETTER show a GREAT deal of respect and appreciation. If you don't -- well, we'll leave you to your own devices. Go ahead -- follow your chief executive's "nicey-nicey" policy toward the Arab and Islamic world. See where that gets you. And then do NOT come crying to us. You have been warned. It's all up to you, now, isn't it? Good luck. You'll need it. Contemplate this: there isn't going to be a "next time." We'll get the Jewish people out, and let you deal with the enemy all by your lonesome. I know where THAT's going!

2. Israel has the fundamental right to self defence
israel cannot allow under any circumstances that islamic terrorists acquire weapons of mass destruction that they will then use to annihilate the population of the jewish state of israel.

3.  Sarah B , U.S.A. / Israel
There is always a some idiot screaming for some other person to get into a fight. If Israel wants to fight it´s neighbors let it do it and take the blows like a man. Not because some woman is screaming for a fight.

4. Syria
The conflict in Syria has not been solved. There is a name for such a policy it is ineffective. No more fighting in the region. Replacement in the defence ministry is needed for such a mess.

7. "... working closely w/ Jordan, Turkey, Israel.."
Based on today's statement by Ankara's FM, it seems like Turkey never got that message...

10. #7 They got the message alright but
are playing both ends; anti-Israeli rhetoric for the muslim world and pro-west contacts for US weapon supplies and support for EU entry.
