1. Finally!
Eliane Israel ,   Brazil   (02.04.13)
Finally somebody that wrights about reality, and not about their won agenda.
2. Using American models of analysis
Avramele   (02.04.13)
In America party affiliation is usually augmented by ideological and voting analysis in defining right and left. Applying this to an informed look at the lists of Hatnua and Yesh Atid and Likud Beiteinu we see that while the right has moved more rightward the center parties are more firmly centrist with more than a few left leaning MKs in both parties. Hence there is clearly greater support for peace initiatives, a less piggish capitalism and little stomach for continued attacks on the courts. The right still has a majority but the opposition to traditional rightist legislation has been weakened by at least 4-5 votes regardless if Lapid and Livni do or do not enter the government.
3. Patriotic Right policies for a Patriotic Right country.
Chaim ,   Israel   (02.04.13)
Meltzer is right on target like usual. Israel consistently votes for Patriotic Right governments. Yet Israelis get stuck with disastrous leftist policies like Oslo, Disengagement, freeing terrorists etc. Virtually all of Israel's problems are due to lefist appeasement and retreat. Oslo alone cost Israel thousands of maimed and murdered civilians. The time is long overdue for Israel to get the government and policies Israes consistently votes for. Patriotic Right policies for a Patriotic Right country.
4. I have Been Saying This Since the Election
Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (02.04.13)
The nation has shifted Center Right. You can feel it when you speak to people. We all want peace, but the majority of Israelis do not trust the PLO-Hamas and simply want better treatment for the secular and the Middle Class.
5. Equal share of the burden drove many on right to vote lapid,
