31. Better watch out Israel, Obama is bringing
Harry Wright ,   UK   (02.08.13)
some of his blight to you.
32. No Pressure
Mark of Lewiston ,   USA   (02.08.13)
There is no reason or way the US can pressure either side. Is either side wants movement, they can offer the other sides some reason to talk, some hope for progress. US aid to both sides was cut by Congress effective March 1. Obama has no control of that either, just as the US Navy returns to port to avoid lay-offs at sea.
33. 2 Cipora - Bibi Has Abbas Number
Mark of Lewiston ,   USA   (02.08.13)
If Netanyahu wants to chat with Abbas, he has the number. The US has no leverage over Abbas. If you are interested, convince Abbas there is something worthwhile to talk about.
34. No peace possible
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (02.08.13)
without the right of return of neandertalers. In the Mount Carmel area neandertalers' graves were found from 40000 years. They were the very first inhabitans in Palestine, so Obama must guarantee the right of return for them.
35. Ashkenazis do not understand Arabs
Norbus ,   Jerusalem ex Baghdad   (02.08.13)
Very few Ashkenaz understand Arabs or desert people mentality. Dayan M Fisher, z"L was a pole, went to Mir Yeshiva and studied at the feet of the Chofetz Chaim understood them The peace is totally in the gift of Arabs as a whole. There is seepage into Islam so a truly wide consensus needs to be built amongst All Arabs and Muslims before we can sit together for real and have peace. This can come, with beneficial co-existence if old and new imperialists agendas can be recognised and set aside. There is hope, as there is need to feed the 90 million Egyptians and much more. AL Huweini of Al Azhar's teaching will end up with poor Egyptians resorting to Canibalism of non believers and apostates
36. The Nation is Already Partioned
Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (02.08.13)
We have a nation on the East Bank and a Nation on the West Bank. This is partitioned enough. The enemies of Israel goal of destroying Israel under the guise of peace is no longer credible to Israelis and to many others. The Arabs in Judea and Samaria have a choice. They can choose to remain peacefully in Israel as permanent citizens or they are free to go. The majority of Israel was already given illegally to Jordan and anyone who says that handing over more land of Israel to our enemies will bring peace is either naive or dishonest.
37. Freeze, Baby, Freeze
keren IL-BR ,   Israel   (02.08.13)
We will be freezing the settlements sonner than we think. Obama will give his command to Molcho during his trip to Washington this week and Israel will obey humbly. I have the impression the US is really fed up with Israel. No more patience. Zeu. Time to obey the master now. And, of course, freeze, baby, freeze.
38. pushing Israel
tiki ,   belgium   (02.08.13)
It doesn't even cross the Pal's mind that someone should push them and that's precisely the problem! Without putting them in their place and telling them some facts about themselves & their behaviour, there will never be a solution!
39. 33 Mark, Abbas has Netanyahu's number
Cipora Julianna Kohn ,   Z   (02.08.13)
if abbas wants to negotiate with netanyahu, he knows the number to call. the arab palestinians will never get a state unless they sit down to negotiate and recognise jewish historical connections and rights to the lands of israel and the holy city of jerusalem.
40. 39 Cipora - Enjoy your Status Quo
Mark of Lewiston ,   USA   (02.08.13)
41. To PA obama isn't the King of Israel
BUILD BABY BUILD !!! ,   United States   (02.08.13)
he's barely a president in America.
42. # 24 E.Grumi
BUILD BABY BUILD !!! ,   United States   (02.08.13)
Did you see YouTube's 'Drunk Obama"? WOW!
43. To: No. 23
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.08.13)
Well, Israel disagrees. What are you going to do about that? Invade? We've seen how well the United States has done in Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan and Waziristan. Which is to say -- terribly. Do you REALLY think you stand a chance against the full faith and credit of a determined IDF? Israel is not Somalia. Israel is not Iraq. Israel is not Afghanistan. Israel is not Waziristan. You cannot impose your views upon Israel short of a military conflict. Good luck with that one. We'll make you cry.
44. More pressure on obama more building for Israel!!!
BUILD BABY BUILD !!! ,   United States   (02.08.13)
Last time the PA made a bid for UN acceptance, Israel went on a building boom.. HOORAY! More pressure more building. Thank both obama and the pals.... More positive progress now than ever. Who knew?
45. To: No. 37
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.08.13)
Hey, why aren't you out in the streets wearing almost no clothing and shaking your likely overweight ass and sagging breasts in a pathetic attempt at a samba? Isn't that what most Brazilians do in February? By the way, you are not Keren, and you are fooling no one.
46. To: No. 17
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.08.13)
No, there already is a two-state solution. There is the State of Israel. There is the Kingdom of Jordan. The ersatz "Palestinians" had better start getting used to the idea. So should the tiny half-British, half-Iraqi "king." The displaced ersatz "Palestinians" (they are NOT refugees; they left voluntarily) can go there. Well over 70 percent of Jordan's population is ersatz "Palestinian," anyway. They can rename the Hashemite Kingdom whatever they like. Or, depending on political or religious preference, they can go join the swarm polluting the Gaza Strip. What they CANNOT do is remain in Judea and Samaria once they are annexed. We're not interested in sharing a state with a violent terrorist rabble.
47. #5 - nice try, Max
William ,   Israel   (02.08.13)
But simply talking to a person doesn't mean you recognize their right to exist nor respect them. And Arafat nor Abbas does. They both indicated their goal was the replacement of Israel and Jews - that's you too Max but they might give you a chance to convert and you so willingly would. Arafat admitted his goal was to pacify Israel with peace talks then attack again when its vulnerable. Abbas admitted that even with everything they demand in hand, they would still demand more and flood Israel with 5 million hostile foreigners. We tried this game before and it didn't turn out very well, did it? I believe it was the Israeli Left who brought us to this brink, and despite its failure, they still spout the same nonsense. Only under Bibi have the "Palestinians" felt the fire underneath their feet. It's not enough to have Europeans pat you on the back, the Arabs must also respect and fear you enough to leave you alone - like Egypt and Jordan did.
48. #23 - you forgot to add the second part...
William ,   Israel   (02.08.13)
"...with land swaps" Nothing different than before the 2nd Intifada which ruined it all. This time, both Israel and the US know to use caution in peace with the Arabs. It's not always worth the paper its written on.
49. #37. Israel will not submit to Obama. Build, build, build!
Chaim ,   Israel   (02.08.13)
Israel was not recreated, after 2,000 years, to be endangered by Obama. Judea and Samaria will thrive mightily long after the evil and incompetent Obama is nothing but a bitter memory. Israel won't submit to Obama or anyone else. This land is ours. Your comments are pathetic and sycophantic, like usual.
50. #46 Thats why Bibi has to give Benett a nice job
A ,   Belgium   (02.08.13)
in the new government, so he can start annexing area C (and A and B). Wouldn't THAT be a nice welcome for Barak Hussein Obama?
51. Obama Realizes that the PLO are Terrorist
Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (02.09.13)
This is no secret to anyone and Obama will pretend to be sympathetic to Abbas, but behind the scenes will give Israel the nod to continue building Israel and giving Israel weapons to protect itself from the PLO, Hamas and Hizbollah terrorist who threaten us. Obama is no fool, and knows that Abbas does not want peace. It's a charade, we all pretend the PLO want a state, Abbas pretends to be building one and meanwhile we all go about business as usual.
