If you're referring to the Neturei Karta and the Satmar, they aren't Jews as far as I am concerned. But you are mistaken that they do not take money from the Israeli government. They take money hand over fist. They only like to pretend otherwise. How else do you think they support their families, many of which include double-digit children?

absolutely none of that statement is logical. However, I believe no Haredim should be enlisted, they would be horrible soldiers. They shouldn't get state funding either, seeing as they do nothing to aid the economy or progress society. The shuls should fund their own classes and students, not the state.

I believe in Hashem, but I also believe that every citizen living in a country is duty bound to contribute to the wellbeing of that country. It would appear to me that the majority of Haredim are totally uncaring about the safety of our Jewish homeland which since its inception has had to go through so much, and sadly even possibly more than ever has to watch its back 24/7, perhaps if is too much for them to take their share of the responsability, they should go elsewhere to aplace which appreciate their way of life.

To serve in the IDF is an honor and a duty, those who will not do their duty can only be classified as cowards.

You have a very comfortable attitude, many of those currently serving in the IDF also study Torah. The Haredim should understand that all Jews are equal and we all have an obligation to comply with the state of Israel. The rest are just empty words.

concurrent with the industrial revolution and a steep increase in housing needs for incoming populations to the big cities. The halfway houses, soup kitchens and alms establishments and charities sent the inmates out to work as bricklayers on new government funded housing projects for a few hours every day. This way they were paying back to society for the food and shelter that they were receiving. This is the origin of "no free lunch". We in Israel have nurtured a bunch of freeloaders and it has got to stop.
38. Is the Torah disappearing?
Danielle ,   Israel   (02.09.13)
How could the Haredim make such claims- threatening their way of life and the Jewish character of the state? Do they think every yeshiva student will be drafted at the same exact time? Do they think the Torah won't be there when they finish their national service? Give me a break- there is time in life to serve your country and yourself.
