ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (02.09.13)
great.
2. Should be Shared with the Israeli Soldier Who ...
Marcohoe ,   San Francisco, USA   (02.09.13)
I think the prize should be shared with the Israeli soldier who kept his cool when cursed out, verbally abused and spit at by the Palestinian girl. He stood up to Islamic terrorism too. Would any Third-world soldier or policeman just have stood by in a situation like that?
3. At least she more worthy than...
Malone ,   Hfx   (02.09.13)
...Arafat and obama

She's a symbol of the brutality of radical Islam.
5. A WHOLE LOT MORE DESERVING..
les ,   canada   (02.09.13)
than the previous one. it also says a lot about those barbaric subhumans who could not murder a unarmed, defencless GIRL child at point blank range, who is REALLY guilty for wanting to go to school, and help others to do it. GO GIRL! YOU ARE A REAL HERO!!!
6. Malala Yousufzai
Goldie Netz ,   New York, USA   (02.09.13)
I am in awe of this young lady. May G-d bless her and her family. I hope she wins the Nobel Peace Prize. Brava Malala,

Galut ia ,   selah   (02.09.13)
the issue she championed is long overdue in countries that are under islamic sharia law
8. Give her Obama's she deserves it more than him
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NY   (02.09.13)
9. would she get the prize if she wasnt shot nobel think strang
zionist forever   (02.09.13)
Arafat got his prize because he said he wanted to make peace and did nothing. Obama didn't even promise anything for his prize. Nominations closed about 2 weeks after inauguration so just shows how ridiculous it was to give him a PEACE PRIZE. As the Nobel Committee don't always seem to give the prize to people who deserve it I wonder if this girl got the prize for her actions or because she got shot? If she had been promoting these western values but nobody shot her would she actually have got the prize?
10. Hero and believer, yet she wasn't protected.
Michael ,   California, USA   (02.09.13)
Come on g, can't you do anything right?
11. Only Fair
Marty ,   Toronto, Canada   (02.09.13)
It's only fair if the children of S'derot are co- nominated. They are as homourable in attempting to receive an education free from terrorist interruption.
12. At least she wasn't afraid to speak out
Galut ia ,   selah   (02.09.13)
as opposed to the Politically correct folks that pay lip service to controversial issues.... Womens rights in Islamic countries is an issue that is long overdue.... and our world bodies turn a blind eye to it.
13. May God bless her and her efforts !
Roy ,   yakima   (02.09.13)
14. Bravo, she deserves it.
Yossef   (02.10.13)
long life to you, and joy and happiness Malala Yousufzai! We love you.
15. Hope she wins that would be a slap in the teliban face
Haim ,   TA   (02.10.13)
Would be great if she won. A real slap in the face of religious extremists
16. she has to win the Nobel prize
the mad zionist ,   san francisco   (02.10.13)
the novel prize has become a sham but if this girl wins it, it would be a huge step into the positive for the award. if someone hasn't heard this girl talk, then you gotta YouTube her. she's from another world. I hope this girl becomes the true hero for the radical Islam world. and I hope many women and men actually listen to her.
17. Deserving and underserving
USA   (02.10.13)
She deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. On the other hand giving the peace prize to Obama who did not do a thing, was a total mistake and waste!!!!!
18. to 11
Jennie ,   Israel/US   (02.10.13)
Thank You for an excellent observation, Marty..Indeed, the children of Sderot are little heroes...While children of any other world's countries are being trained in many sport activities, in Sderot and other border line towns, they are learning to react to sirens, count the seconds they have to run to bunkers, where they spend many hours, see the ruins and learn to deal with war..And yet, they still manage to remain kids...They sing songs about peace, they love all the things, any other world's children do.Those innocent children are the "unsong" heroes of our times. With all the love and protection, they are being raised by, those children are the little unsong heroes of our times...
19. Nobel Peace Prize
Syd Chaden ,   Palermo Calif USA   (02.10.13)
This young girl put her life on the line for her freedom. Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize for doing nothing at all, just because he had condemned the Bush policies, and it was thought that he would reverse them. That, of course, was before he found that there was no choice, other than to continue the Bush policies. Giving this brave young girl the same award that Obama received for doing nothing would be an insult. She deserves better. Much, much better.
20. Petition
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (02.10.13)
You don't have to be British to sign the petition. I did and sent it on to all of my friends. They also signed.
21. To Nos. 11 & 18
Bertram ,   London, UK   (02.10.13)
The fact that Malala has been nominated for this prize in no way devalues the courage and tenacity of the children of Sderot. The specific point about Malala is that in attempting to promote the education of girls she actively and consciously courted danger from assassins. That following her near death, and still with a price on her head, this young teenager is prepared to continue with her activities, as a symbol of the rights of girls and women everywhere, is amazing. The children of Sderot of course deserve special recognition but should not be placed in competition with anyone else.
22. Pakistan
Akiva ,   NYC   (02.10.13)
Pakistan hosted Bin Laden and then convicted the person who told the Americans where he was! Pakistan, where a girl is shot in the head for saying girls should go to school! Where they assassinated a major female politician. Why is the USA helping the dubious govt of this country?
23. 11, 18, 21 Palestinian children....
Robert ,   Australia   (02.11.13)
.....endure far more horrendous lives than those of Sderot.
24. Peace Prize
Tim   (02.19.13)
Now she can join the illustrious likes of Yasser Arafat, Obama, and "the EU." It's a shame the Nobel Peace Prize has become such a joke. Is there a Golden Globe-like peace prize out there as a less controversial alternative that she could win? She's certainly deserving of some sort of peace prize.
