Even as a Northerner and an atheist, I recognize that Chuck Hagel is as bad for the United States as he is for Israel. In fact, he may be even worse for the US because we have to live with a president who claims Hagel is the best man for the job, although I suspect that Obama has another agenda and doesn't really believe it himself. In fact, if you saw Hagel's cringe-inducing performance when he went before Congress, you know it might be difficult to find somebody less qualified than he is to be Secretary of Defense.

Chuck Hagels duty is to the United States of America and to its political and defensve interests which includes a two state solution and avoiding war with Iran, his duty is not to appease the bloodlust of Israeli and American Neo-Cons in their paranoia over Iran and their desire to start a third world war, were there any Weapons of mass destruction in Iraq? Haven't we been frantically funneling money to our American cousins for decades in order to build up AIPAC so they would do what we tell them? One thing I hate is wasting money.
