1. PLO alleges
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (02.13.13)
that the jews are not a specific nation. But the so called palestinians are. This is the world record of lie and falsification. The word "JEW" was a nation's name found first in II. Ramses statues from the XII. c BC. The name "palestinian people" was used first in the PRAVDA cca. 1967, after communist propagandists invented it, to ensure soviet influence in the Middle East.

5. Likud Charter
Eric ,   Luxembourg   (02.13.13)
How about that one ? Likud doesn't want to see a Palestinian state and is for continued settlements. But surely, it's only the Palestinians fault right ?
6. palestinians deserve a state
adam adam ,   earth planet   (02.13.13)
they deserve it because its their land
7. "Palestinians" as the "Syrians" see them
Joseph ,   Jerusalem   (02.13.13)
Assad the father to the PLO leader Yassir Arafat in 1970s: "You do not represent Palestine as much as we do. Never forget this one point: There is no such thing as a Palestinian people, there is no Palestinian entity, there is only Syria. You are an integral part of the Syrian people, Palestine is an integral part of Syria. Therefore it is we, the Syrian authorities, who are the true representatives of the Palestinian people".
8. Ho the "Palestinian" nationalist sees "palestianness":
Judith ,   UK   (02.13.13)
The self-acclaimed Palestinian, Professor Azmi Bshara: there is no "Palestinian people...never was". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3n5-yG-6dU Translation: Well, I dont think there is a Palestinian Nation at all. I think there is an Arab Nation, I always thought so and I didnt change my mind. I dont think there is a Palestinian Nation, I think its a Colonial invention Palestinian Nation. When were there any Palestinians? Where did it come from? What I think there is an Arab Nation, I never turned to be a Palestinian Nationalist, despite of my decisive struggle against the Occupation. I think that until the end of the 19TH century, Palestine was the South of Great Syria.

10. "Palestinian" people and country...
Alex ,   Moscow   (02.13.13)
Palestine..????? If you are so sure that state of "Palestine" and "Palestinian nation" go back through most of recorded history," I expect you to be able to answer a few basic questions about that country of Palestine : 1. When was it founded and by whom? 2. What were its borders? 3. What was its capital? 4. What were its major cities? 5. What constituted the basis of its economy? 6. What was its form of government? 7. Can you name at least one Palestinian leader before Arafat? 8. Was Palestine ever recognized by a country whose existence, at that time or now, leaves no room for interpretation? 9. What was the language of the country of Palestine ? 10. What was the prevalent religion of the country of Palestine ? 11. What was the name of its currency? Choose any date in history and tell what was the approximate exchange rate of the Palestinian monetary unit against the US dollar, German mark, GB pound, Japanese yen, or Chinese Yuan on that date. 12. And, finally, since there is no such country today, what caused its demise and when did it occur?
11. LOL! The settler-colonist bestowing legitimacy?

Likud charter says the same as International law. And according to international law the jewish homeland is, after being separated from Transjordan, to be established betwemn the Jordan river and the Mediterrainian sea. The PLO and Fatah charter is not in accordance with intenational law. ThatĀ“s the differense and a most important difference.
13. "Palestinians" in 1919 vs "Palestinians" in 1960s
Michael Cooper ,   UK, London   (02.13.13)
"Palestinians" at the 1919 Paris peace conference: PalĀestine is "nothing but part of Arab Syria and it has never been separated from it at any stage...Palestine is tied to Syria by "national, religious, linguistic, moral, economic, and geographic bonds." On the basis of this view, they called for a Palestine that would remain "undetached from the independent Arab Syrian Government." "Palestinians" in 1960s: "We are the Palestinian nation...and Zionists stole from us 78% of our ancient homeland..."
14. Joseph Farah, "Myths of the Middle East"
Albert ,   Riga/Latvia   (02.13.13)
Joseph Farah, "Myths of the Middle East" "There has never been a land known as Palestine governed by Palestinians. Palestinians are Arabs, indistinguishable from Jordanians (another recent invention), Syrians, Iraqis, etc. Keep in mind that the Arabs control 99.9 percent of the Middle East lands. Israel represents one-tenth of one percent of the landmass. But that's too much for the Arabs. They want it all. And that is ultimately what the fighting in Israel is about today... No matter how many land concessions the Israelis make, it will never be enough".
15. All 22 islamic states in Arabia are illegal.
BUTSeriousy ,   Sydney   (02.13.13)
None we created via the UN, none existed 100 years ago, all their borders are fictitious, all were handed to one Islamic family with no conditions attached. Britain perpetrated this deed for 30 barrels of oil. Contrastingly, Israel was a sovereign nation 3000 years ago and she was returned legally with all states voting at the UN. The name Palestinian was applied to Judea and exclusively Jewish till Arafat stole it. West Bank is also a fictional name, the 3000 year Hebrew nme of Samaria changed by Jordan in 1949.
16. 'Nation of Israel' is recorded in the Bible.
BUTSeriousy ,   Sydney   (02.13.13)
It is also seen in the Dead Sea Scrolls. Let Muslims check what they say.
17. Re: Likud charter
Dan Calic [writer]   (02.13.13)
Eric, let's be open and fair about this. I only referenced two charters [PLO and Fatah]. How many other groups have similar, even worse charters? Hamas? Hezbollah? Islamic Jihad? Not to mention Iran and other hostile neighoring countries who wante Israel gone? Second, the referenced charters call for violent revolution whose goal is to return the Jews to subjugation under Islamic rule and eliminating the only Jewish country in existence. Thirdly, Mahmoud Abbas has repeatedly said he will never accept Israel as a Jewish state. And finally, while the statement regarding the Likud charter may be correct, Benjaimin Netayahu, along with all Israeli PM's since Oslo have pledged to accept a Palestinians state.
18. Wrong question:Do Arabs deserve another State is the right 1

19. Deserving a state?
Bertram ,   London, UK   (02.13.13)
Actually, I find the idea of a people 'deserving' a state somewhat puzzling. States have come into (or gone out of) existence for a variety of reasons but I doubt that desert, which has a moral flavour to it, is one of them. More frequently, the major factors have been war, insurrection, hard political bargaining, support from other states and so on. Israel is a case in point. A Palestinian state will come about if a sufficient combination of such factors enable it to do so, otherwise it will not happen.
20. wrong #14
M ,   the gulf states   (02.13.13)
jordanians are bedouins. palestinians are trouble makers.
21. To No. 16
Bertram ,   London, UK   (02.13.13)
But seriously, your argument is simply about the passage of time. Let us assume the establishment of 'Israel' took place 3,000 or so years ago. Would it have been any less of a 'fiction' at that time than Palestine is today?
22. Palestinian claims illegitimate!
Johannes ,   Norway   (02.13.13)
If one believes that God is behind the foundation of the state of Israel - an act of mercy man is not allowed to question - all Palestinian claims for land are simply illegitimate! That will make them (and their co-acters) enemies og God himself!
23. ONLY a mortal enemy of Israel would give
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (02.13.13)
a square inch of Judea and Samaria to the ersatz Palestinians...those nice people already have Gaza...ENOUGH IS ENOUGH !
24. lol yourself dude...
bandoola ,   Isreal   (02.13.13)
Israel is the restored Tibet of the middle east. And the restored Indian nations of north america. Just replace the phonystinians with the chinese han that were imported into Tibet after their conquest. Do the same with the american indians and the european invaders. Israel has returned to its God given land as all the Prophets said and nobody will uproot it again.. Lol
25. Man plans...God shakes his head!!!
Taz Man ,   USA   (02.13.13)
God doesn't care about what the godless heathens' think about this whole matter! He says there is to be NO Palestinian state on His Land bequeathed to His chosen people--Israel. The truly ignorant among us refuse to see the truth outlined in God's Holy Word (and to their peril!). ALL those who come against His people and land will be destroyed; God doesn't mince-words about that fact. The godless continue their ill-fated march to hell...!
26. "Palestine" is only an anti-nation
Larry ,   Eastbourne,UK   (02.13.13)
The only basis of Palestinian national identity is Jew-hatred and the destruction of Israel. There is nothing positive about it at all as there is no Arab Palestinian history, culture or whatever. In the past, European antisemites used to say "Jews go to Palestine", thus indicating that Palestine was Jewish land. Nowadays, antisemites say "Jews get out of Palestine". Similarly all organisations or individuals described by the media as pro-Palestinian are merely anti-Israel. How can an anti-nation deserve a state?
27. Give Jordan back to them!
Mark ,   Jerusalem   (02.13.13)
28. 2 State Final Solution obviously intended to destroy Israel.
Chaim ,   Israel   (02.13.13)
This issue is not even worthy of debate by intelligent adults. It is obvious to any child, capable of reading a map, that the Two State Final Solution is intended to destroy Israel. It would reduce Israel's waist to 9 miles and render Israel defenseless. Which is its intention. The WW II Allies showed up the true path to permanent peace. Total victory over "Palestinians" with no concessions whatsoever. Israel has nothing to talk to them about except their departure from our land.
29. For State of Palestine
Luiz ,   Brazil   (02.13.13)
Mr. Calic, What about the Palestinians living in West Bank? Are you proposing expell all of them? Even if you don't agree with the words "Palestinian" and "West Bank", the issue remains. What do you propose for the Arabs living in "Judea and Samaria"? Do you think Israel must expell all of them to Jordan? Are you proposing an ethnic cleansing? Or are you proposing put them in "Bantustans"? What do you think? Israel must repeat the strategy of the Poland government in 1930s, that wanted expell all Polish Jews from the Polish territory? My God!!!
30. The world doesn't want to think too much
Sam ,   Canada   (02.13.13)
The world wants a Palestinian state and a Jewish state in the belief that this will make the problem go away. The world would rather not think about the Palestinian state trying to destroy the Jewish state. Israel would like to make peace not because it thinks Palestinians deserve it but because it wants to stop the killing and live in peace. The Palestinians don't want a Jewish state and will accept it only because they can't destroy it and don't want Israel gobbling up all their territory.
