I congratulate the refered Rabbis for their excellent words about Benedict XVI. It means a New Age of friendship and union among Judaism and Christian Catholicism, in order to a more ethical and fair world. After past darkness, we see a bright sun. Think about it, Jewish brothers and sisters.

He was a friend of Israel. His resignation may have surprised some, but work on his retirement flat has been going on for months, and he had a pacemaker operation not long ago, which may have influenced his decision. Like John XXIII and John Paul II, Benedict [Baruch as in Spinoza in Hebrew or Barrak as in Obama in Arabic]] built bridges to other faiths.

The Pope at one time was in Hitler's army. Israel was particularly neverous about Benedict as Pope. Instead, he became one of the most religiously tolerant in Papal history.
