Gady ,   Mexico City   (02.13.13)
The whole world is whatching! If we lose the higher (moral) ground, we lose the fight; not just a little battle, but the whole war for survival as a zionist nation.

And if he was a spy for a foreign power like Australia or GB or the US will you still feel the same. He may have been blackmailed by a so called friendly power and that might a little embarrassing for that power so maybe it should be made public. Maybe that info could be used to get Pollard out.
3. Another example that israel is not a democracy.

4. Democracy ?????
Michael ,   Haifa   (02.13.13)
Israel is a democracy, only when it is convenient to be so.

If this guy were really a "double-agent for the US" I expect there would have been a prisoner exchange for Pollard sometime prior to him hanging himself, and Israel would have tried to be a bit more careful with him considering how valuable it would have made him
6. #3 Big LOL...

I've lived in northern Europe and Israel, and I'm alot freer and have more rights in Israel. So either, Europe is a union of dictatorships or Israel is the only country where Jews can enjoy democracy. (Okay, I know both are true, but the latter more so...) Ta-ta racist whack-job.
7. Let's see
PaulD ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (02.13.13)
I hear warning bells whenever Meretz and the Arab MKs team up. I doubt if they care about agent Ben, I'm sure they don't care about Law, and Democratic behavior, unless of course it empowers their agenda. What they do care about is harming Israel, shaming it to draw the knee-jerk condemnation of the self-righteous world. Acting like enemies do, no surprises here.

9. AG should investigate the traitor MK's
Cipora Julianna Kohn ,   Z   (02.13.13)
members of knesset do not have the right to use their immunity to divulge state secrets. every democracy has state secrets. in every democracy, the divulgeance of state secrets is criminally punishable. press freedom and freedoms of speech and association are meant to protect individual citizens who criticise their government individually or collectively. these individual freedoms are limited only when a person is in violation of laws protecting state secrets. espionage against the state is a very serious matter. all spies know that they undertake secret missions which they are supposed to guard with their lives. those who are spies are heroes or villains depending on who is judging. traitors are a particular subset of spies and never trusted even by those who recruited them.

Unless they were trying to get the name of a handler in the Israeli goverment working for a Outside goverment. Someone must have tipped off Australia about this guy and that could have only came from someone high up.
11. If Israel would respect the laws
Gregg ,   Umbria Italy   (02.13.13)
it would be worldly wide known...
12. If Meretz MK speaks,
Keren ,   IL-BR   (02.13.13)
we know that the case was correctly hiden in order to protect Israel. I´m sorry to say,but when someone of Meretz party speaks, we can know for sure that the thing is driven by guts and not by mind.
13. And...
Keren ,   IL-BR   (02.13.13)
Even if I do not agree with the way of thinking of Meretz MKs,something must be said about the measures MK Horowitz tried to take in 2010. He ,as an Israeli MK,had all rights to question a private ,sensitive case in Israel, but he was refused and by being refused he didn´t go to Youtube to make a film-he respected the gag order of his country. Now,I ask, with WHAT RIGHTS did the Australian government take a difamatory and absurd measure against Israel ,through this Youtube film, about a case that is under GAG ORDER currently??? And yes,it was a governmental measure since a senator was interview giving his positions about a PRIVATE CASE of another country. True, the man was also Australian but lived in Isreal and was a Jew,but this was a case to be spoken inter-governments and not publicly ,through a very suspicious little film, the way they did, without Israel´s permission I think this is an absurd!
