members of knesset do not have the right to use their immunity to divulge state secrets. every democracy has state secrets. in every democracy, the divulgeance of state secrets is criminally punishable. press freedom and freedoms of speech and association are meant to protect individual citizens who criticise their government individually or collectively. these individual freedoms are limited only when a person is in violation of laws protecting state secrets. espionage against the state is a very serious matter. all spies know that they undertake secret missions which they are supposed to guard with their lives. those who are spies are heroes or villains depending on who is judging. traitors are a particular subset of spies and never trusted even by those who recruited them.

Even if I do not agree with the way of thinking of Meretz MKs,something must be said about the measures MK Horowitz tried to take in 2010. He ,as an Israeli MK,had all rights to question a private ,sensitive case in Israel,but he was refused and by being refused he didn´t go to Youtube to make a film-he respected the gag order of his country. Now,I ask,with WHAT RIGHTS did the Australian government take a difamatory and absurd measure against Israel ,through this Youtube film,about a case that is under GAG ORDER currently??? And yes,it was a governmental measure since a senator was interview giving his positions about a PRIVATE CASE of another country. True,the man was also Australian but lived in Isreal and was a Jew,but this was a case to be spoken inter-governments and not publicly ,through a very suspicious little film, the way they did, without Israel´s permission I think this is an absurd!
