In the US, you cling to old power and Amer Jewish establishment - which still cavorts with Bibi and his declining star. But neither you nor Sheldon Adelson, et al, represent today's younger generation of Amer Jews. So if you REALLY cared about Amer Jewry, you would have found a dynamic replacement - and would have stepped down long ago!
