Thanks for running this story. It's sad, but unfortunately, such spouse and parent-robbing deaths were not uncommon 68 or 70 years ago. That's the high price paid for freedom, as I needn't lecture Israelis. I'm very glad the medals were found -- and that the Silver Star was or is to be awarded posthumously. That's a significant decoration for bravery. I think the unit designations are backward (I'm an Air Force guy, so I may be wrong). I'm pretty sure it should be: the 351st Infantry Regiment of the 88th Division.
