1. Get the kid out of there!
Homeopath in Israel ,   Israel   (02.20.13)
The child should get his followup care. he should also get Alternative health care which is available in abundance in Israel. There are also retreat places here where he can be put of a special healthy organic diet. Further, the parents should contact Chabad and look into the beauty of their Own heritage. Sad, they are not educating him to know who he is!

married a Buddhist Taiwanese in his old age. He says it is a religion of peace and living in the present. But like the parents of the child trapped in a Buddhist monastery, he is deceived by Satan who does not want people to know they need a Saviour, Yehoshua of Nazareth, or their life on this earth will be pointless and result in eternal separation from HaShem. TV Evangelist Benny Hinn is the person the parents should take their child to if they can believe Yehoshua of Nazareth was born of a virgin, died for the sins of mankind and rose again to reconcile sinful mankind to a loving Father God Yahweh. When my niece Eugenia was in a hospital dying from a brown recluse spider bite in Texas, the doctors gave her no hope after doing all they could do. She said a Benny Hinn program was on tv in the hospital room and a healing spirit came out of the tv into her and healed her. The doctors were astonished. Another approach to cancer to get it into remission are lifestyle changes. Eat a Dr. Nicholas Gonzales Diet and get a Seychelle RAD (radiation) water pitcher from Jim Bakker show that filters out 100% of the radiation, chemicals, and pathogens from water. It also alkalinizes the water. An Iranian physician who wrote the book, "The Water Cure" said he cured all diseases in the aristocracy of Iran before they were executed when the only medicine he had was water. Water can kill but water can heal, depending on the quality of the water.
4. if he can attend school their too, what's the problem?
Berk ,   Amsterdam, Holland   (02.20.13)
Parents have the right to send their children abroad, as long as they can prove they receive education.
5. #1, #2, and #3
David Clarke ,   Liverpool, England   (02.20.13)
What the child needs is good quality medical care from a hospital, if the child and the parents choose to follow the Buddhist faith then that is their choice as free able minded human beings and if the child chooses to recuperate in a Buddhist monastery after treatment that again is also the parents and the child's choice. What they don't need is Christian and Ultra Orthodox Jewish extremists lecturing them about going to hell and advising them to use faith healing and Homeopathic Quackery!.

Haim ,   TA   (02.20.13)
So thats the parents choice, seems the boy is doing quite well but thanks for your concern. His parents are allowed to choose the path of their child as is any parent. Educating him in the beauty of his own heritage? Oh i see like the harideem attacking women , not working, not serving in the army, , then of course if we want a real lesson in morality just take a look at Shas, you can always ask a Shas MK, well one that isnt an ex con or serving jail time that is. I guess that must be the morality you are refereing too ?
7. The boy is a minor, should be' with parents
Anna M Sedda ,   Rome-italy   (02.20.13)
It is terrible to' have a child given away to' strangers;he is a minor and should not have been left alone. It s terrible for a mother to' do such a thing...

Sol ,   Champaign   (02.20.13)
Just so you know, you can be a fully practicing Buddhist and still believe in Judaism. it is a philosophy, not a religion per se.
9. Buddhist boy should be with his parents
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (02.20.13)
This boy might turn out physically healthy but the day will come when it will be noted he will have psychological trauma from not being with his parents. Religion doesn't matter as much as constant parental love and support. I have feeling he will always feel lost.

circumstances of this child's living conditions and needs and then take prompt action according to what is deemed best to fulfil the child's needs and legal rights! ASAP

miri ,   tiberias, israel   (02.20.13)
its the parents choice what type of care there child will get,if your not a parent to a child with a dreaded disease like cancer i dont think you should judge them, Im a orthodox mother and belive me i was mad at first , but i cant judge them i dont know what i would do.i read a lot on alternative medicine and i dont know what to think anymore about traditional methods.

I think all the tribe should follow Buddhist philosophy because these orange ropes are nice and may be they turn to peace more than war and killing industry
13. Buddism is not a philosophy
andy prigge ,   ORANGEVILLE   (02.20.13)
If buddism is a philosophy then what are the huge idols of budda for? I can't believe that after being out of the land for 2000 years, and seeing Ezekiel's prophecy of the "dry bones" coming to pass, that there are still so many who follow other god's. Judgement will come from G-D soon enough.

are you not ashamed?! Learn before you judge the most peaceful.
15. Buddhism
USA   (02.20.13)
I have lived in a Buddhist country and here are my observations: Buddhists are taught to be content and not strive in life, since striving is the "source" of all problems in the world. So it is no wonder that Buddhist nations are not known for discoveries, inventions and significant contributions to humanity. Having said that, I have visited Buddhist temples, and was struck by the cleanliness of the surroundings.

MONA ,   US   (02.20.13)
I think the parents or one dominating, more likely the mother,is a Buddhist but does';t want to admit it,as if anything wrong with that,
17. What's the problem?
Shish kebab ,   us   (02.20.13)
Courts often force took children with critical illnesses away from their parents who were relying on miracles, religious techings etc. And rightfully so. This is a totally different case: the boy is apparently well and does not require any immediate life-saving medical intervention. Thus, his parents have a full right to keep in in a Buddhist monastery just the same way as they wuld send him to a private school in Switzerland. Having regular "follow-ups" by Israeli Hem-Onc doctors is not a good enough reason for the government to interfere in parent/child relations. Would anyone support governtmental " confiscation" of a child whose parents want him to be a rock musician? Rock climber? Having follow-ups for a healed fracture with no sequelae? Converting him to Christianity? If there is no imminent threat to life and limb, the government has no right to intevene.

Rina ,   Haifa, Israel   (02.21.13)
You are asking what a problem? Are you serious? They sent 11 years old sick kid to who knows what place, where people speak different language, have different mentality without anyone close to him. This women is a psycho, she didn't love her son, because if she would, she will be every minute with him. But from I know Buddhist monastery mail only, and who knows what this people did to this poor child. I am a cancer survivor and I knew, that cancer patient will be never 100% healthy. And we all knew how small kids can get sick with flu or cold and this kid have very bad immune system, and they left him alone? What kind of monsters this parents are? In Israel kids would be taken from parents for less and this people deprive this kid from medical care, from education. His mentally sick mother say, he would do, what he wants, when he would be 18. How did this cold hearted women knew, her son would be alive in 18? And if he would, what kind of person he would be, after he was 7 years brainwashed by Buddhists and have no education? He would be uneducated zombie, who couldn't live normal life between people, because he would so get used to live in monastery, he would be afraid to live anywhere else. Buddhism is a religion and very strong one and not always very peaceful. Buddhists use drugs, to brainwash people and make them useless mental idiots, who can't do anything useful, but chant and meditate. This parents simply ruined their kids life and they don't even relies it. Police should take care of this things, because in my eyes they totally abused their kid, and he should be taken from monastery and this monsters and let doctors to check him.
19. If forced to Israel - boomerang
Dan ,   K"S   (02.21.13)
If the boy is force to return to Israel, it will boomerang on the boarding schools in Israel. They have students who do not know Hebrew, and are far from their family, and I know from experience, that some want to return home, and all have feeling of homesickness from time to time.
20. Israeli Boy Trapped in Buddhist Monastery
Cheryl ,   Chicago, IL   (02.22.13)
This Jewish boy is not well, both physically, mentally and spiritually. He needs professional medical care and psychological care. He is brainwashed by his "New Age" meshugah parents and he needs to come back home to Israel ASAP, where he will get the care he needs and be with a nice, loving heimishe family. If he, G-d forbids, stays there, he will not have a bar mitzvah, and, G-d forbid, if anything, kein ayin hara, happens to him, he will be cremated. He is worshiping avodah zara in a strange place with strange people. The Israeli Embassy should be contacted and intervene to save this Jewish boy's life. It wasn't by some fluke "chance" that those Israelis "happened" to be there and found him. It was from G-d, Himself. He needs to find himself again, since he has some semblance that he is still a Jew and he needs to come home - back to Israel, where he'll be safe and with loving people. ASAP! We must all press the Israeli Embassy to intervene.
21. Study before you judge
Buddhist ,   Bern   (11.26.13)
The Buddha (the one who is awake)/Siddharta Gautama was not a God and never pretended to be one! He was more of a doctor. He knew the truth about suffering and what he gave to mankind was how to get rid of suffering. A gift. Not more not less nor anything else. Buddhist are NOT idolators and they do not believe the statue is a God or similar ... It is a later invention and reminds only of the Buddha. But there is no need for temples, rituals, statues.... all you need is your mind. Study ... you do not seem to be happy otherwise you would not need to be so hateful. Sense of life is to be happy.
22. Who are you to judge
Buddhist ,   Bern   (11.26.13)
Why Jewish are so intolerant? Who are you to judge - you know nothing about Buddhism. The boy will be cured I am convinced - if not - it's karma. What's wrong about cremation. If you would know, the flesh body is not raising - so it is completely irrelevant if burried or burnt. Read, learn and know, Buddhism is not "New Age".
