1. Core Studies
Ariel ,   São Paulo - Brasil   (02.20.13)
When you do not learn core studies when you are young , you put yourselve in a jail and the only money you can earn is this that religous parties give to you (such 1.000 shekel a month).
2. In Israel Seculars Dictating The Religiuos
Ariel Ben Yochanan ,   Kfar Tapuah, Efraim   (02.20.13)
B"H I wonder what the article would have looked the other way round: Would it have complained about relegios coertion?
3. Segregated education creates a racist society, integrate all
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (02.20.13)
4. No force! They wont teach then remove government support
miki ,   tampa   (02.20.13)
Don't blame the Ultra-Orthodox, we the secular people have been paying them for years to make up government coalitions and to allow them to set the price. They won't allow government supervision-fine-time to treat them as private schools not eligible for any government support. Let them manage on their own.
5. Per holocaust Times
Zechariah   (02.20.13)
We are entering preholocaust times the Haredim need prepare .Classes on mass casualty response start now .
6. excellent decision
Cipora Julianna Kohn ,   Z   (02.20.13)
parents should not hve the right to deprive their children of essential education which prepares them for the future in the work force. parents are not divine and they should not have divine powers.
7. Agenda of Reform "Judaism" is...
yoni the Jew ,   Jewish Homeland   (02.20.13)
Hmmm Why is Reform Judaism trying to enforce the education of Haredim in secular subjects? Why dont they mind their business? Is it their job to enforce the education systems laws? Or is this an expression of brotherly "love"
8. This demand has been present since the state's foundation
Avi   (02.20.13)
Why so many decades later they decide to remember if it's even enforced or not while literally billions of shekels were given for no reason? Giving minorities their own education system was a grave mistake and they misuse it. Instead of integrating it perpetuates differences, hate, and ignorance. Most of their schools don't even teach math and English out of fear it would pop the haredi mind control bubble.

ron ,   USA   (02.20.13)
its no coercion. you can teach whatever you want. you just can't take government money to do it.

They got the numbers and network they're organised and pros in schnoring, you got nothing ,...
12. #2 Ariel Ben Yochanan seems to have forgotten
Haim ,   TA   (02.21.13)
Of course the harideem need to have the basic subjects if they are to join the work force. Why on erth would you want to raise an entire generation to have no basic skills what so ever? If you want them to teach religion and nothing but thats their choice but not on the tax payers money. If only you had learnt the basic skills as its quite obvious you dont have any.
13. Corruption
Devorah ,   Bar Giyorah   (02.21.13)
I wish that I could be optimistic about this ruling but unfortunately it seems like another opportunity for those who are corrupt to be corrupt. Sadly, I cannot imagine that there will not be a massive plan to "pass" the students on these standardized tests without actually educating them.
