1. Palestinians are known to be terrorists
Dovid ,   Haifa   (02.21.13)
better be safe than sorry
2. Professional Crybabies
EGGM ,   Petah Tikva, Israel   (02.21.13)
This article proves yet again that professional "crybabying" has become the norm in Palestinian society. He was on a long flight and was tired so he couldn't think of taking a flight back? Boohoo. Detained for just over an hour at an airport? That's lack of freedom, seriously? The Palestinians are a 3rd world pseudo-state and have real problems like poverty and corruption, yet they never miss an opportunity to cry about first world problems so that Americans and Europeans can relate to them and feel sorry for them.
3. Anyone who texts Michael Moore SHOULD be detained.
Jordan Ispalestine ,   Los Angeles, CA   (02.21.13)
4. Some would say.....
Bertram ,   London, UK   (02.21.13)
...it is a pity that the above posts are confined to Ynet and do not get greater publicity. They would be a significant contribution to the Palestinian cause. So, if you want to raise Palestinian consciousness more comments like these are needed, especially if they are disseminated to the wider media.
5. second class citizen?
GR   (02.21.13)
My foot ! He was detained because his profile indicates that he is a potential terrorist and security US is at stake. If he has any complaints, he should bark at arab states that harbor terrorists that are a dime a dozen.
6. Nobody to Blame but Yourselves!
Sam ,   L.A.   (02.21.13)
Tell your buddies to stop murdering, raping, stealing, lying, cheating, etc., etc., and then MAYBE the world will start treating you like human beings. You made your bed, now lie in it! The only "invention" you guys have given to the world is the suicide-bomber!
7. America security are rude to everybody
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (02.21.13)
It is a known fact that the IQ of American security officers at airports and border crossings is just slightly above their shoe size (in American, not israeli sizes). They don't just suspect that every foreign visitor to America is a criminal/terrorist, the are trained to be disgustingly rude about it as well. If an America border security officer talked the same way in any other place of work, they would be immediately fired with cause. Land of the free and home of the brave? Not even close. This is the ugly face of America stepping on the toes of visitors to their country saying "we really don't want your tourist dollars - stay home and leave us alone". Shame on America.
8. to #4
ashqelon   (02.21.13)
the above posts and below are written by israelis who live with the threat of violence or death! everyday of their lives when they take a bus or go for a coffee or shopping everyday boring stuff that can get them killed so for once imagine what it would be like to lose your wife or husband or kids because they had the nerve to be jewish and live in israel!!! and take the bus !! maybe you would understand the real problem here and stop being so judgemental . now they are supposed to supress their feelings and thoughts on an article on an israeli network give me a break you arrogant .....
9. they claim racism for everything ... give us a break
naftules ,   jerusalem   (02.21.13)
and all the other people in the room with him were also being checked, in the states they even check old grandma;s. You may not like it but is part of their security !! and they dont only do it to arabs, it happens to lot of different kinds of people over there. What a jokester, never misses an oppurtunity for manipulatoin and propaganda !!!!
10. 3 different countries treated poorly?
r ,   Atlanta, USA   (02.21.13)
I would ask my self why? 2 were Arab countries. I think it is made up to get attention.....or there is something wrong with his demeanor.....there are numerous people from the Middle East passing there daily without incident. His self pitying attitude is not appropriate.
11. simple solution
aaron ,   toronto,canada   (02.21.13)
I got the simple solution to his son's problem of not being free for one day in his life.Move to Jordan where you belong and enjoy all the freedoms in a muslim country.Oh my mistake, even your own country doesn't want you,c'est la vie.
12. Hen Mazzig and Enad Burnat...
(02.21.13)
Perhaps the news spread about Mr. Burnat....that he is not exactly telling the truth, and is not committed to non-violence. Who needs a second Michael Moore in USA?
13. Even in Istanbul?
Ros ,   Tel Aviv   (02.21.13)
and they are supposed to be pro-Palestinian!!! Next time - print out the invitations - it is more official looking - anyone can receive anything on a mobile phone!!!
14. I'm also a second class human according to this
Dmitry ,   Israel   (02.21.13)
When I first came to the States for work and had a letter of invitation and all that, I was held at the border and interrogated for about an hour and a half. Not only did they threaten me with making me go back, but they said they don't take kindly to people coming and taking American jobs. Then they took my wallet and addresbook, and asked me in detail about the phone numbers of everyone there and the IDs that were inside. I really thought they weren't going to let me through. It was one of those deals where they have a camera recording your face and two people sitting across from you. They eventually did let me through so I just assumed that American border guards are naturally that rude. This Palestinian guy was lucky he knew Michael Moore. I wish I could have called that fatso back then, but they told me I wasn't allowed to use my cell phone...

16. why the surprise?
oded ,   usa   (02.21.13)
the palestininas have invented ,single -handidly, the term modern -terrorism, in which they target indiscriminate citizens and targets. mostly airlines and airports. this director should only accept the sins of his fathers and embrace the punishment and "humilation"as par for the course.that's all there is to it.
17. 5 Broken Cameras
Dan Diker ,   Jerusalem Israel   (02.21.13)
If this Palestinian director demands freedom, he might consider living in one of the scandinavian countries where Arabs are routinly attacked, or anywhere in the Arab world, where he can write a new movie called 1000 broken cameras and a broken face. with all its imperfections, Israel is the safest, freest place for Arabs to live and work. Just ask the Palestinians living in the Palestinian Authority under a corrupt kleptocracy in the West Bank or those living in Gaza under Sharia law. Time to stop this nonsense.

20. #4 Bertram, sorry dear, but such crying
Cameraman   (02.21.13)
wolf seems to bore your left and right wing press altogether. Besides, your press should publish the Israeli side, as well. Now, this they are reluctant to do because your press doesn't like to publish the real truth about the Arabs living on the West Bank and Gaza, do they? They do not want and it is not politically correct to recognize the truth, namely, that these Arabs have a much better and freer life in Israel than most of their brothers from the consolidated Arab states. As for Burnat, he seemed not to impress the Americans and he should be lucky to have entered the US from a stone-throwing village and a "peaceful" Molotov cocktail tossing militant terrorist population. Why am I not impressed at all? Oscar participation notwithstanding, let them break more cameras and try again. Who knows...?
21. A proper visa might help...
Shimon ,   Cincinnati, USA   (02.21.13)
Why was he held up in Turkey (very friendly to the "Palestinians")? Probably because he didn't have a proper visa. Why was he held up at LAX? Probably because he didn't have a proper visa. Actually, knowing Michael Moore should have been enough to send him to Gitmo.
22. To # 2 "Professional" ??????
Stan ,   Israel   (02.21.13)
They are amateurs compared to our people the Jews, who have been at it for more than 2000 years. Be careful not to step in the shit. It sticks to your shoe and stinks.
23. Director of '5 Broken Cameras' held at LAX
eli ,   usa   (02.21.13)
I texted a number of people requesting their assistance," he said. One of those people was documentary filmmaker Michael Moore, who immediately tweeted the event to his million plus followers MICHEAL MOOR .?? that fat ,slob fucking idiot so are his followers..
24. #16 Correct
Ben ,   USA   (02.21.13)
As #16's post , among others, has said. Arabs and especially "Palestinian" Arabs are literally the reason we have airport security at all. If you look at when airports had to start implementing security and screenings it directly coincides with acts of Arab terrorism in and around airports in thelate 60s and 70s onward. Just like why there are checkpoints in Israel. So, maybe he shouldn't complain so much.
25. #1

Yeah...just like israelis are known to be spies.
26. dear #4

it was a fitting comment coming from britistan. best of luck to you under sharia law... :))
27. did they at least apply for welfare???
les ,   canada   (02.21.13)
28. Being detained makes you a second class citizen?
Avi   (02.21.13)
No, not really. Don't think so highly of yourself. The safe being of the public is a higher concern than your personal convenience, princess. That does not make you a second class citizen either. The fact is that while not all terrorists are arabs or muslim, the vast majority of terrorists are and so profiling takes effect. Just like kids, women and ambulances are the least seemly terrorist threats that they're so widely used nowadays for the terrorist cause. That's why a tantrum isn't thrown anymore when a woman, a kid or an ambulance is detained and searched for weapons and explosives at security checks in risk areas - Because you don't come pointing fingers at the security guards that examine them, but the terrorists that put a suicide belt around a kid and stuff 300 kg of explosives or a terrorist cell in an ambulance.

DavidR ,   USA   (02.21.13)
Comments like these come as a result of activities such as 9/11. Do you remember that? An hour and a half in security at LAX is a small price to pay for the security of Americans when it was people of your bloodline that committed the crimes, regardless of nationality. Get over it Bertram. Go spill your anti-semitic guts to the British Parliament. They seem to welcome it.
30. Leftists looking out for each other...
Lenya ,   Australia   (02.22.13)
Michael Moore...not a very popular figure in his own country had to tweet his "million plus" followers because the authorities don;t consider him an honenst broker and needed their help. Michael Moore a Documentary film maker is in the same league as Emad Burnat and Guy Davidi. It is all smoke and screen Pallywood.
