1. Looks like our Lunatic Left's unending egging on of Arab po-
tom ,   tel aviv   (02.25.13)
pulation is finally bearing fruits! Is there no way these traitors can be made to answer in front of a judge?!
2. they are in prison
Barney ,   USA   (02.25.13)
for a reason. most likely violent terrorism against Jews. if they want to eat give them small rations or let them produce their own food. if they dont want to eat so be it. freedom of choice
3. #1 not just the Left
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (02.25.13)
Abbas is also inciting the disturbances. Everyone is ignoring him as they turn to "minor" problems like North Africa, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan and Syria. He figures by turning on the heat, he will become relevant again and gain Israeli concessions. I hope (but I doubt) that Netanyahu will not surrender to Abbas' demands and lets the violence reach the critical point where Abbas will flee with the money he stole to the UK, the corrupt Fatah will be swept away and the local Arabs finally make peace with Israel.
4. #1 The problem is that the Judges at the High court are also

5. Expect Nothing But Violence from the PLO/Hamas and Supporter
Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (02.25.13)
These riots are just more of the same.
6. Abbas and Hamas wanted a "peaceful intifada"
Cipora Julianna Kohn ,   Z   (02.25.13)
their peaceful intifada includes riots, rock throwing, molotav cocktails, stone slings, hunger strikes, thus far. abbas and hamas are in competition to show who can "resist" the most. abbas does not seem to realise that he will gain nothing from his little intifada, but then again, he might not care. all he cares about is making mischief, especially before obama's arrival.
7. Here's a suggestion
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.25.13)
If they want to go on hunger strike, let them. If they want to eventually go off hunger strike (people do get hungry, after all) make sure that their decision is videotaped, released to all news outlets and well-publicized throughout the world. Turn this into a win-win. Either they starve themselves and die -- or, if they decide they do not wish to die, make sure that their request for food is distributed to all international media. It's not that tricky a dance. If they wish to be martyrs, far be it from us to deny them their wish. If they wish to eat, we will feed them. Just make sure the international community of nations is kept abreast of all the sordid details. Israel does not wish to deprive them of their civil right to refuse food. Israel will feed them if they wish. It's really all that simple.
8. Torture is normal with the Arabs
Israeli grandma   (02.25.13)
There are regular severe injuries and rarely reported deaths in PA and Hamas prisons, often of innocent people. This is a norm, so they naturally rush to insist that the prisoner in an Israeli jail was also victim. I believe that he died of natural causes, even if he might have been roughed up under interrogation. Why bother to have an autopsy otherwise?
9. Family members present at the autopsy.
Mark ,   London, UK   (02.25.13)
How goulish! I don't feel at all comfortable about observing an autopsy, never mind when it's a loved one.
