1. what?
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (02.25.13)
What is a "symbolic hunger strike"? Some guy skips a meal to make a point, and that is news? What's funny is the overfed "prisoners" eat more in one day than the average Egyptian eats in a week. When will the world finally get sick and tired of these whiners?
2. I have the solution
Haim ,   TA   (02.25.13)
Just let them smell my Bannana and Chocolate chip cake, i`ve never met anyone who can resist that !
3. I guess they got hungry
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.25.13)
The ones who didn't -- let's give them the opportunity to engage in a Yom Kippur fast. I mean, really -- if you want to fast, then do it right. Now THAT would be news. Should take -- what -- 48, maybe 72 hours? If they want to fast, they should do so on OUR terms. They are, after all, criminal terrorists. Fast away.
4. Not prisoners they are terrorists
Ari ,   Jerusalem   (02.25.13)
Ynet should stop conspiring against the Jewish people. These Palestinian "prisoners" are in fact terrorists, and the difference should be noted. These terrorists want/did kill Jews and want to destroy the state, they are not petty criminals.
5. Not sure why this is a problem anywhere
Jacob E ,   Holon, Israel   (02.25.13)
They are in a prison, it is our responsibility to provide them with humanitarian conditions, of course lower than the outside world as a punishment for their actions there. If they choose to reject those conditions, they are only punishing themselves, which is basically doing our job for us. However, if it is our job to encourage them to eat, the IPS should bake chocolate chip cookies for themselves in the ventilation rooms and let that amazing aroma waft to all the prisoners cells.
6. Have you ever fasted?
Michael Redbourn ,   Arad Israel   (02.25.13)
Not drinking liquids is hard and dangerous. Solids? I did a five day fast and days one and two are difficult but then it gets easier. After five days I looked forward to a meal but, when it came I had hardly any appetite to eat it. 60K people were slaughtered in Syria whilst this kind of nonsense gets coverage!
