and how do you know he was in perfect health? are you his doctor? do you know how many youth die all of a sudden from undiagnosed heart failure in the usa in high school and at university???? many, i assure you. do you know how many young men, younger than 230 years old, in their twenties, die from undiagnosed heart failure all of a sudden? how mnay youth have siesures all of a sudden, an embolism all of a sudden and collapse and die and only after that, the doctor discovers that there wqas a blockage or an artery that busted, etc.. so, do not be too quick to judge and speculate if you do not know the facts. if israel tortured all its security prisoners the way you claim this one was handled, many many more would have died. but it is rare, if any, to have a palestinian prisoner die in an israeli jail. name one other incidence of this kind. just one. also, jaradat was not really picked up because he threw molotov burning bottles and bombs and heavy rocks, which can kill by the way. he was a former terrorist prisoner in an israeli jail that was traded for the release of gilad shalit, held by hamas for 5 years (never heard you complaining about that one, did i????). after his release, in which he signed an understanding statement not to engage in terror or any illegal activity, he went right back to his "profession". throwing rocks is illegal in israel and in the usa and anywhere in the civilized world (not the arab world, mind you. they are barbaric). so, yes, he was incarcerated again. learn the facts before you spout.

I am a medical doctor. A quick check on the incidence of young and healthy people below the age of 30 (army recruits, high school students, athletes) dying of sudden cardiac death yields a range of roughly 1:200.000 to 1:735.000. Sudden cardiac death in young apparently healthy adults is therefore extremely rare. Arafat Jaradat was interrogated for 6 days by the Shin Bet in the infamous "pidgeon stool" room in Megiddo prison. An unofficial preliminary autopsy report (final report still pending because the analysis of samples has not been completed) showed that on clinical examination he had a healthy heart without clots in the coronary arteries or the muscles. The autopsy did find a broken 2nd and 3rd left rib with bruising of the muscles around the fractures and a broken 2nd rib on the right side with bruising of the muscles around the fracture. 2nd and 3rd ribs are usually not involved in trauma associated with cardiopulmonary resusciation. The report also mentions bruising on the back and pulmonary oedema. That is clear evidence of severe beating. The mode of death could be neurogenic shock or a fatal cardiac arrhythmia brought on by the severe beating on the chest. Statistical propability tells me that Arafat Jaradat died as a result of torture at the hands of the Shin Bet. BTW, he was arrested for throwing stones. That was the only charge. According to my information he was not one of the prisoners released in exchange for Gilad Shalit.
