34. Criticizing Islam in Turkey under the Erdogan regime
Ypip ,   Canada   (02.28.13)
is a crime. Turkey is not a secular state. There are hundreds of political prisoners in Turkish prisons who haven't seen a trial for over 3 years. It is no longer a democratic state. So anything this man espouses is almost always quite delusional, including most definitely his rhetoric about Zionism.
35. Erdogan: Zionism is crime against humanity
David ,   miami, fl usa   (02.28.13)
what happen with the Armenians ? it look like is not crime against humanity Mr. Erdogan
36.  Erdogan wrong policy in the ME
ME Observer   (02.28.13)
By verbally attacking Israel he is trying to gain support from ME countries. No one likes him now in the ME and not in Israel and not in Europe. Erdogan look in the mirror and check Turkish history first.
37. This is the crime:
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (02.28.13)
Zionism is first and foremost strong affinity Jews, for the past more than 3,000 years, have had toward Zion, also known as Jerusalem, and to the country at the midst of which Zion is located: the Jewish people's ancestral homeland of 4,000 years. Zionism, in addition to being the spiritual and administrative center of the Jewish people since the Jewish king, King David, set it up as such, and during all of these years, has taken an additional meaning in the 19th century. Zionism set out to in-gather all Jews not dwelling in the Jewish people's homeland back home. It set out to re-institute in Eretz Israel (Land of Israel) Jewish sovereignty. And, it set out to re-vitalize Jewish civilization: Judaism. And, all of the above goals were to be achieved through the powers that are, the law that are in use, and with as much cooperation as possible with the non-Jewish population in the Jewish people's homeland. Zionism, in short, became the non-violent - no, not pacifist - national liberation movement of the Jewish people, seeking to exercise the Jewish peoples right to national self-determination and independence in its homeland. This, sadly, is what the Turkish prime minister doesn't like: the fact that the Jewish people has achieved much of what it set out to do, and did so based on historic/natural, ethical and legal rights.
38. This is funny
Dan ,   Florida - Tel Aviv   (02.28.13)
Radical Islam is the Fascist movement of the 21st Century. Zionism has produced the ONLY successful state in the Middle East and has contributed to the wealth, health and growth of civilization. Islam has kept people imprisoned by poverty, ignorance and violence.
39. and the "decent" ban ki moon
(02.28.13)
just sat there and said nothing. amazing! just amazing! that peole who esteem freedom for all nations would reject the only national movement of one nation, the jews. pathetic. if i were in the crowd, the minute i would have heard erdogan's despeakable pronouncement about zionism, i would have stood up and left. this is what a sane individual would do.
40. Erdogan
Eric ,   Toronto   (02.28.13)
Zonism = Israel! Period! By putting down Zionism this idiot is basically saying that he is not recognizing Israel! What is Israel waiting to cut off all ties with Turkey? And why Israelis are still traveling to this backwards country? Cut off all ties and let this cesspool of country rot!

48. #6, read your own history
(02.28.13)
how do think the entire middle east became islamic? hint: it wasn't because people openly accepted islam as the one true religion. also - the Crusades, might want to catch up on what it was a response to.
49. #16 It's all talk. He ain't done nuffing
Mark ,   London, UK   (02.28.13)
E. can say what he likes but he hasn't really done much except try and butter up to his Arab friends. The shame is that Spain has not pulled the plug on this. Were it not for Ynet I would have no news out of Turkey. The only thing that appears in our UK papers is how Turkey is stuggling to cope with penniless refugees from Syria. There was mention too of the odd missile flying across the border. One wonders what Turkey would do if one or other of the belligerent parties started lobbing them over on a daily basis.
50. Oil + Islam = start of global Islamic terror
Shep ,   Memphis   (02.28.13)
The Islamic terrorist have been around for thousands of years my friend, but it was limited to a tight geographic region where they mainly terrorized each other, Jews, Christians, etc. Only when they inherited oil wealth did they start to export their extremist ideas, and people to invade the West. Islamist would love for everyone to think that if only Israel disappeared that Islamic terrorism would evaporate. There is no evidence to support that idea, and tons to counter it.
51. no Muslim nation should part of a group
(02.28.13)
that has the word "Civilizations" in it.
52. They are all islamophobic
John ,   The Netherlands   (02.28.13)
Well said Mr. Erdogan! The Armenians that survived the genocide by the Turks, hate the Turks because they are islamophobic. The Greeks in occupied Cyprus (those who survived the Turkish military invasion) hate the Turks because they are islamophobic. The Kurds being massacred by Turkey hate Turkey because they are islamophobic. They should all be condemned for their crimes against Humanity.
53. The question is how you define racism
(02.28.13)
If racism is crime against humanity than Zionism clearly is.
54. Erdogan talks that way when he does drugs or smokes pot !
Moshe ,   Usa   (02.28.13)
No doubt ! What a clown ! He's a laugh !
55. Turkey has become an unstopable tyrant in the region
Vasos ,   Limassol,Cyprus   (02.28.13)
Turkey has become the most powerful country in Europe and the Middle East and unfortunately no one can stop them from boycotting sanctions against Iran, oppresing the Kurds and Jews, lifting its embargo to Armenia and recognising their genocide over Greeks, Pontiac Greeks, Assyrians and Armenians or ending the illegal occupation of Cyprus and the vandalism of churches and synagoges on the occupied part of the island. USA is continuously pumbing money into Turkish economy without realising that those money are used against it.
56. Post Script to # 37:
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (02.28.13)
Zionism has been one of the few non-violent national liberation movements, yet, strictly due to the fact that it is the national liberation movement of the Jewish people it is being, again, picked on; as though to say, the state of Israel and the movement that helped create it are today's substitutes for the Jew in society of yesteryear. If then it was "politically correct" to actually spit and hit the Jew on the street, only because he or she were Jewish, now it is "politically correct" only to do so at the national home of the very same Jew, and the movement that re-institute Jewish sovereignty in the Jewish people's ancestral homeland.
57. USA and Israel should recognize the Armenian Genocide
American ,   Los Angeles   (02.28.13)
Turkey is at war with Israel. It's time to act against islamo fascists terrorist and their leader erDOG.
58. Ture! zionists will claim anti-semtism.

Look at the eyes, the spoooooky glazed look...is he on something or has he really lost his marbles? Its like hes been consumed by a mad obsession..Israel and Jews..I can just imagine him mumbling into his Turkish Coffee, foaming at the mouth..like a case of human foot and mouth or is it foot IN mouth? Someone please put him out of his misery..and give him some more pills..sleeping pills that is
60. Erdogan is a Racist A-hole
David S   (02.28.13)
Turkey keeps more journalists behind bar than any other country per capita. He just wants to audition for the role of Arab strong man (in other words, someone with a small willy who over compensates by acting like a big man). Poor little Erdogan cant keep flacidity at bay. Boo hoo.
