I am surprise to hear rabbis talk about assimilations . The rabbis make it so difficult to convert to jewdeism so people give up. Just think what they have done to Spinoza who was genius all the decendents of Mendelson and most Montefiori are not jewish any more . This is one of the reasons I decided to leave Judaism. This childish idea that Jews should only marry Jews is ingrained in the minds of even Jews who consider themselves non-religious. It is a divisive, racist idea that needs to be eradicated.
