1. "Nationally motivated"
Robert ,   Australia   (03.06.13)
We wouldn't want these "Religious Israelis" to be labelled racists, would we.
2. They wont be punished
James ,   Canada   (03.06.13)
Israel doesnt believe in punishing Jews for racist hate crimes by Jews against Arabs. Maybe once these racist Jews kill an Arab will Israel be forced to act.
3. What kind of Judaism is this?
Mark ,   Cleveland USA   (03.06.13)
The occupation is destroying the Arab and Jewish communities both. The peace movement needs to make a comeback if Israel is to survive.
4. Jail these scum....forever!
William ,   Israel   (03.06.13)
5. #1 robert
solomon ,   bklyn   (03.06.13)
Whenever arabs are suspected of attacking Jews, it’s also called “nationally motivated”. You are deaf, dumb and blind; you do it to yourself all the time.
6. #2 They wont be punished
Rau   (03.06.13)
Then the charges dropped for lack of evidence.
7. British consul general to Israel attacked by Ramallah studen
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (03.06.13)
attacked by Ramallah students. This is what I saw in another article here at Ynet. So, will this go on and on to no end? Look how much hate is going around - all that cancerous black stuff eating at our bodies.
8. They could not have been religious Jews
Leah ,   Israel   (03.06.13)
Proper religious people on Friday night would have gone to the synagogue and have a meal with their families. They were probably low-lives.
9. Attacking innocent people...
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (03.06.13)
The two 'repeaters' should be remanded until their trial. This is happening all to often lately. It must be stopped! If they are religious teens, as stated in the article, the police should look into their schools and rabbi.
10. Religious teens getting out of hand, lately
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (03.06.13)
It seems to me that a learning / discussion group should be developed to talk to these teens - they are becoming brainwashed just like our enemies.
11. @no.6
celine woland   (03.06.13)
a broken jaw is very much of an evidence.also the man had wirnesses, his wife, probably other ppl too.
12. reply to #8
On the Balcony ,   NY, Kyiv, Akko   (03.06.13)
Some "proper" religious people settle land that does not belong to them, argue that it is ok to steal olives, spit on women soldiers, teach thier children to hate, throw rocks and exploit secular Jews. Sad, but undeniably true.
13. such religious teens need to be jailed
Ted   (03.06.13)
and shamed with their family names and schools revealed. So that the rest will take the warning seriously - such violence and hate crime is severe whether is against or by Jew or Arab.
14. A nation of laws
Rhonda ,   Chicago, USA   (03.06.13)
The attackers should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. These behaviors should not be treated lightly. We can not having this going on in Israel. The man and his wife had every right to be where they were for a pleasant evening out.
15. It's all the hate in Palestinian textbooks
Celia   (03.06.13)
Abe better get on top of it fast.
16. THESE IDIOTS ARE RACISTS
exUK ,   TEl AVIV   (03.06.13)
Do not try to soften this issue by calling it anything other than race hatred.Just as Hamas are indoctrinating their children,so we have extremists who are unable to recognize a good person as an individual.Instead they stick a label on them and dismiss them as'Arab', 'the enemy' etc. We cannot blame ordinary citizens for the assumed failings of their leaders. We have over 20% Arab population in 'the 1948 Israel' and I'm sure most are content, good citizens.Do not be soft with the attackers. There is no lack of evidence.Lock them up for a long period, and retrain their minds and prejudices until they are deemed well balanced enough to be allowed back into society.
17. No Tolerance for Jewish Brown shirts
Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (03.06.13)
Any racial attacks made should be punished severely. Arab Israelis are citizens and have rights to go where they please and there must be no tolerance for this kind of racist thuggish behavior.
18. Brainless Thugs
Tim ,   Brighton   (03.06.13)
We apologise to the family The majority of Israelis express the same sentiments We thank the Israeli Media for bringing it to our attention There is no place for this behaviour in Israel
19. @8 Unfortunatly there are some low-lifes that consdier
jrebecca ,   modiin   (03.06.13)
themselves religious. I know of cases where religious families cannot cope with their teenagers so set them up in "communes' in different areas. You land up with disturbed teenagers with no adult supervision = disaster. Many teenagers become unmanageable, religious and secular.
20. Arrest and Punish
Get Real ,   UK   (03.06.13)
Israel must always punish those responsible for such attacks no matter who the perpetrators are.The rule of law must be upheld. Failure to do so is as criminal as the crime and the opportunity will also not be lost by the Arabs to gain world wide PR and sympathy and condemnation of Israel..
21. To: No. 1
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.06.13)
If you can manage to step outside your anti-Semitism and hatred for the State of Israel for just a few minutes, you will readily see that Israeli opinion is strongly in favor of these Jewish thugs having the book thrown at them. I fully expected to see an outraged comment from you. What I have found to be consistently sorely lacking is any sign of outrage when Jews are killed and maimed by Arabs in nationalistically motivated attacks. Why is that? Is your "compassion" a one-way street? What do you think that says about you?
22. This is why there is anti-semitism. History has shown that
American Gentile   (03.06.13)
nobody (jew) will spend time in jail. israelis act as if they have the right to injure or kill Palestinians.
23. Hope the Arab wins the law suit-the thugs don't represent us
Scott ,   Haifa   (03.06.13)
24. The state of Israel is to blame !
(03.07.13)
the state of Israel is at fault. Hate is what Israel teaches to its kids - from young age... just look around in Israeli streets...
25. #24 correct!
solomon ,   bklyn   (03.08.13)
except you speak of Hamas, the PA, Hezbollah, and their ilk. Open your eyes and you won't see that in Israel.
