Correct. Thank you. I'm just an interested observer. Facts matter; emotions take a back seat.

#25 The new Pope helped 2 priest out of the military cells, hid many people in his Academy during the dirty war. He begged the military government for more fellows. He attended acts of Shoah, AMIA, signed letter in behalf of the 85 dead people and lit Hannukah Candles. #26 your comment is disgusting, because of people thinking like you, there will be dictators in countries like Turkey. Not all of priest are pedophiles.

really? good then. Yet, the evidence goes against him coming to the dirty war, as it is for the vast majority of the Argentinean curia. He begged the military... really? that is why he gave them green light to take the two young Jesuits. There are documents to back up what i write. Now, that he has a good relationship with the organized Jewish community, could be --good for him. As Dorothy stated, indeed too many Jews are desaparecidos and too many were tortured double because they were liberal in their ideology and because they were Jewish! So anyone who was in any form complicit with the torturers is not deserving of any honor, to say the least. And evidence points to Francis' complicity.

Only two priests out of the military cells? What about the thousands upon thousands of others, who are now numbered among the "disappeared?" I guess they didn't matter, because they were not priests. Did he ever do anything to encourage the prosecution of Nazi war criminals who found safe haven in Argentina? Answer: No. Lighting Hanukah candles is considerably less than impressive. Obama has done it every year of his presidency, but we all know what he thinks of Israel and, by extension, the Jewish people. The more I am reading about this new pope, the less I am liking him. Of course, I am not Roman Catholic (thank G-d), so he is really nothing to me. But he is shaping up to be just another Pius XII. And that is not a good thing -- for anyone.

Mr Bergoglio warned the 2 Jesuits that they were in dangerous at that time. The Villas Miserias were overrun by leftist. The both Jesuits did not listen and put in danger the mission in the Villas Miserias. Mr. Bergolgio as a head of the mission needed to report to the Juntas that his mission was cancelled. Both Jesuits were continuing their activities, ignoring the order. Later they were liberated and sent to exile. Respect to the Jewish Desaparecidos, were more comunists that Jewish and were against the State of Israel sanctifying Che Guevara. One of the "great desaparecido was Jacabo Timmerman which Israel saved his life. His son, Hector Timmerman told us that he does not owe anything to Israel and sold all Jewish Community including 85 death in AMIA to Iran. Now same the "desaparecidos" are in the government like comandante Teresa (Nilda Garre), the president, Hebe de Bonafini, and some other more. My surprise is finding here a Kischerinsta like you in this Jewish forum defending the president by attacking the new Pope. Your president is very upset this week: The voting in Las Malvinas and Mr. Begoglio's designation. I hope yuor documentation is not sponsored by (Clarin Miente) the Argentinian government

In the end he's simply been elevated to the position of Pope.I have no more reason to believe in the reality his claimed status than I do that of the so-called Prophet Mohammed....both goyim. Bizarre this fuss about him being non-European.On the face of it,he's actually an Italian European whose place of residence usually happens to be in Argentina. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!

laura   (03.15.13)
just ONCE I would like to see a discussion where Mrs Sarah is NOT writing 90% of all the comments- she knows ALL- and she knows it before it happens- You don't care about the Catholic Church so why don't you just be quiet? Thank G_d not all Jews are as opinionated and arrogant as you are-
39. About the Pope "meaning nothing" to Sarah B.
Flavio ,   Sao Paulo, Brasil   (03.15.13)
I'm also a Jew, so the Pope does not mean anything to me either, on a personal level - but he means a lot to me, as a citizen ot the world living in 2013, for he is the leader of a Church which is still very influential and important in international affairs. Obama does not mean anything to me, for I'm not American; Bibi does not mean anything to me, for I'm not Israeli - is this the kind of logic you really believe in? Come on, nobody's an island, the Pope is very importanto for us, Jews, not as a religious leader, but as a political and social international figure - who, by the way and given the proper set of circumstances, could be very, very useful in order to mediate the peace process between Israelis and palestinians. I'm the one living in the Galut, but you're the one who behaves like you were living in a ghetto!
