1. To Yitzhar tent thieves
Devorah   (03.14.13)
What did you accomplish by stealing a Tzahal tent? NOTHING! You are making things worse for yourselves and your community. It is difficult to support the cause of fools. STOP IT!
2. it's not a molehill, it's an illegal settlement
On the Balcony ,   Akko   (03.14.13)
We hear too little about things like this and what is really going on between settlers and Palestinians. The dismissive attitude of the settlement's administration towards the IDF highlights the disjunct between reality and their ideology. The settlments endanger all of us.
3. Judea/Samaria Jews are residents. Not "settlers".
Chaim ,   Israel   (03.14.13)
Whether they do good or bad; Judea and Samaria Jews are residents on their own land. Not "settlers".
4. steal tent
bubiraba ,   raanana   (03.14.13)
these undisciplined disrespectful delinquents play cat and mouse with our soldiers, sent to protect them and our land. but what can we expect, when the adults dismiss their disgusting behavior as youthful pranks? they should all, including their parents have to spend day and night under the conditions our boys do. take away their kippot and tzitziot until they earn the right to wear them!
5. #3, Chaim
Chutia ,   New Delhi, India   (03.14.13)
The settlers are indeed on their own land. just that its stolen land. no amount of history lessons can change that fact
6. The IDF left the tent unmanned?
jrebecca ,   modiin   (03.14.13)
How safe these "settlers" must feel if the IDF is there for them.
7. disrespectful
peter ,   tel aviv   (03.14.13)
the act of stealing the tent as well as the casual explanation of it being a youthful prank yet again shows the disrespect towards the IDF.
8. #5 Chaim knows it
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (03.14.13)
Chaim is well aware that the British stole the land from the Jews and gave it to Arab colonists they imported. Jews are no less victims of British brutality than the Indians. He just meant that the term "settler" might be misinterpreted to mean that the Jews are the thieves, validating the crimes of the British.
9. attention
pm ,   india   (03.14.13)
"chutia" in hindi is a derogratory term.it's a slur..
10. #5. Judea/Samaria & Jordan part of Jewish Mandate.
Chaim ,   Israel   (03.14.13)
#5 Judea and Samaria were indeed stolen from the Jewish people. Along with Jordan, Judea and Samaria were part of the Jewish Homeland Mandate. Judea and Samaria have belonged to Jews for more than 3,500 years. Moroever, countless international law experts (including Eugene Rostow, author of U.N. Resolution 242) have incontrovertibly proven Judea and Samaria legallly belong to Israel.
11. Yitzhar settlers steal IDF tent
Joe Charlap ,   Jerusalem   (03.14.13)
The response " this is a youthful act", ' shows a total lack of responsibilty and morality. These setttlers are nothing more than a bunch of hooligans who disgrace the Jewish faith. Shame on you!
12. Yitzhar tent
Daniel ,   Everett   (03.14.13)
Jews are entitled to live anywhere west of the Jordan under the Mandate, established under the league of nations. It is binding international law under the law of the time and therefore is valid through the present. There is no legal argument otherwise.
13. IDF is sloppy
Fred ,   Jerusalem,Israel   (03.15.13)

Regurgitating founding myths and self-serving propaganda as if it were truth is no substitute for objective research. The British didn't steal anything from us except some hopes and dreams. Eugene Rostow, Julius Stone and a handful of other jurists have proposed legal arguments in support of the settlements but such arguments are merely opinions, not law. International law is, inter alia, a product of collective state practices and agreements. It is not made by individuals. Arguments that the settlements are legal have been rejected by the entire international legal community including internationally respected Jewish, Zionist and Israeli jurists. Even the Israeli Supreme Court has ruled that the settlements are not part of Israel and that settlers have no right to expect their settlements to be permanent. Ask yourself, where are the settlements of Gaza, of Kadim, Ganim, Homesh and Sa-Nur? Continuing to repeat falsehoods while dismissing the world’s legal community as ignorant or anti-semitic or lunatics reveals not only ignorance but intellectual dishonesty and/or moral bankruptcy. As its said, “people are entitled to their own opinions but not to their own facts.” The fact is that the settlements are illegal under international law. And no matter how much and how loudly one grunts, squeaks and squeals, mere opinions cannot change that fact. #12 The UN exercised any residual powers under the Mandate with its recognition of the State of Palestine. Were Rostow alive today he would be forced to concur since key elements of his argument were based upon the UN’s failure to formally recognize a Palestinian State in the territories.
15. Robbers steal
Robert Anderson ,   Sacramento, USA   (03.15.13)
The Israeli "settlers'" steal the land of others. Do not be suprised when they also steal tents.
16. Whip Teenager Punks Into Shape
Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (03.16.13)
These teenagers need some parenting and perhaps a sound whipping to get them in line. These juvenile delinquents are out of line and should be sent to military school immediately. Let them force jog and do heavy labor all day long so that they learn to respect the IDF and the nation of Israel.
