1. May this gov be the most successful ever.
Michael ,   California, USA   (03.14.13)
1. Implement equal rights and responsibilities to all the citizens of Israel. 2. Separate religion and state. 3. Formulate Civil Rights Declaration and write the Constitution. 4. Implement a uniform educational system for all the children of Israel. 5. Solve the illegal immigrants problem. Really, really, the best of wishes for a very successful government operation in every sphere.
2. they don't learn
peter ,   tel aviv   (03.14.13)
with the statement that they kept nthe most important portfolios Bibi proves yet again that he does not ee the real problems. Interior finance education and social affairs are the real important authorities. A balanced budget with an eye on socio economic policies to take care of the average citizen is the top priority. Not the veiled threat of Iran or Syria . Our kids have to learn in a stable educational system where core studies are a must for all . Our sick and needing have to be taken care of. The haredim have to see that also they are being taken care of if they agree to follow the rules of the land. And somehow an attempt is needed to approach a solution with the Palestinians.
3. # 1 Michael
Sagi   (03.14.13)
I second that with all my heart and soul.
4. #1 don't forget
(03.14.13)
guarantee freedom of religion, including for Jews at the Temple Mount end the rule of Holocaust Denier Abbas increase housing availability for people in the center of the country by building in Judea and Samaria guarantee rule of law by stopping land theft in Galil and Negev
5. FOUR YEARS . Yes! But who's fault is it????
Alan ,   SA   (03.14.13)
6. In Truth Policies Towards Haredim Must Change
Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (03.14.13)
Lapid twisted Bibi's arm to get the education portfolio, and this might be a good thing. The policies towards Haredim need to change. This is in the end will be better for the Haredim. Haredim will serve army, learn more practical knowledge in school and contribute to society. They can also study torah. This government will be stable and won't be brought down by the religious, but it's also a narrow government and by no means a unity one.
7. #2 In a nutshell
geepee ,   Tel aviv   (03.14.13)
You've put the core of good governance in a nutshell, with the sad fact that we have the equivalent of a Marie Antoinette thinking he's the right man for the job. We must pray hard that a REAL leader, which this country so badly needs, emerges in the next year or two.
8. Foreign and defense
zeboss ,   merkaz   (03.14.13)
..".the most important portofolios for running the country" That's exactly where this PM stands. Along with a mafia- connected FM and a "defense" department who signed on a Trillion $ for the buying and maintenance of some 35 new jets , supposedly the worse ever build..... What a sweet land. Good luck for the new gvt.
9. They never learn
Joe Malanti Semur ,   Israel   (03.14.13)
Latest news! The two jokers are demanding vice premier appointments. When will these kids learn that "honour" has no part in politics?
10. #2, Interior & Finance ministries don't exit without a state
Jake ,   USA   (03.14.13)
Defense & Foreign ministries ensure the survival of the state.
11. #6, Haredim won't respond to threats & extortion
Jake ,   USA   (03.14.13)
They are one of the most insular communities on the planet , and they simply won't abide by secular laws demanding them to change their way of life. The only way to change their attitude is with dialogue, not threats & extortion.
12. #4, You'll pray wherever once there is peace. Muslims also.
Michael ,   California, USA   (03.14.13)
13. Netanyahu did the best he could
Cipora Julianna Kohn ,   Z   (03.14.13)
he retained defence, foreign affairs and interior ministries. these ministires are essential for the national security of the country. national security is the most pressing issue facing the country right now. iran will be the existential issue that israel will have to deal with this year. all the rest is very important, but not as vitally urgent. the haredim will not change with the stroke of a pen.
14. Amazing talent!
Lila ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (03.14.13)
Bibi got forced into a coalition with two guys who can't wait for it to fall apart so they can go to new elections. He caved on everything! But he has the talent to pick on one idiotic factor - how "important" the portfolios are - to show how great he is! What a fooooool!
15. #12, oh really? Will I be able to pray in Mecca? Vatican?
Jake ,   USA   (03.14.13)
Of course not. Likewise, Muslims & Christians who wish to pray at the Dome of the Rock should do so quickly. One day soon only Israelite Priests (Kohanim) will be allowed to worship in that area. No it is not racism or Jewish supremacy. Its no different than restrictions on worshiping at the Kaaba or the Sistine Chapel.
16. #2. If either of "the veiled threat of Iran or Syria" is...
Harry Wright ,   UK   (03.14.13)
translated to action, everything else you listed can be crippled without defense - and I'll add, against both internal and external hostile elements. Ask Egypt, Libya and Syria (actually, Assad). Seems to me that you don't take those threats seriously.
17. I went to Vatican and "prayed" to Michaelangelo.
Michael ,   California, USA   (03.14.13)
I entered and exited freely. Mecca is next. I'll keep you posted, buddy. Another point, feel free to keep your "supremacy" intact. I lay claim to none.
18. #17, enjoy Mecca.. make sure to bring your teffilin..
Jake ,   USA   (03.15.13)
..or if you value your life, leave them at home.
