Shouldn't Obama try to appeal to all students from all sides of the student communities in Israel?

President Obama demeans himself and America by visiting the illegal Zionist state. I hope that one day in the near future, however, he will have his chance to visit a liberated Muslim-Christian Palestine, the way the Holy Land should be morally.

Obama never had any integrity in the first place. His loyalty is neither to the U.S. or Israel.

When he went to Egypt he insulted their President by forcing the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood to be at his speech. Now he wants to practice American apartheid here in Israel. Perhaps we should insist that the KKK or Aryan Brotherhood be at his next State of the Union speech. Oh wait he will invite CAIR and that is close enough

Of course they applauded Netanyahu. All he kept saying was how great America is, and Israel will do anything for you. Since 5 nations at the UN run the world. After the fall of the USSR, Israel should have went with better ties with Russia. They have ties with all the neighbors, except the Saudis. But Russia has oil and arms. And then it would be in their interest for real peace. We are both indigenous of our lands and a common enemy of nazis and fascists. Russia lost over 20 million to the crazy nazis.

Obama does everything to impower the muslim nations. So why do the Jews vote for him?

Russia has oil, most of it under the permafrost in Siberia. What Russia does NOT have are drill bits capable of penetrating the permafrost. Only three or four countries have the requisite technology -- Israel being one -- and it is not for sale. Russia has arms -- most of them pretty lousy. What isn't lousy has not been maintained and is rusting away. Even their nukes are questionable (remember Chernobyl? How about the Kursk?). Five nations run the world? Well, perhaps we need to pick a new five. The present ones seem to be running the world into the ground.

Some Israelis are putting too much scrutiny into Obama's visit. Its just one head of state visiting another country, he doesn't run Israel nor is he a god. Just cant understand why some Israeli people criticize Obama, just because he is bold enough to point at Israel's short falls unlike other past American presidents, he suddenly becomes unfriendly to Israel. I think its time some Israelis looked into the mirror and accepted that the time has come to be in touch with the reality of the modern world where the treatment of the Palastines and the occupation of land belonging to other nations cannot be ignored or spoken of as if its not important .

If as your article states, Israeli students are taught critical thinking skills, then it should be a no-brainer for them to suspect what P. Obama is doing in excluding students from Ariel University, and to support the inclusion of all Israeli students by (if they are still excluded when he comes) boycotting his talk and making it known why. Why allow themselves to be manipulated and insulted by P. Obama.

Look at his flimsy efforts to stop Iran's nuclear bomb program - continuing on the same failed path that didn't stop N. Korea. Look at his record sale of 80 billion in jets to the saudis (total Obama deliveries to Israel - 6 propeller-driven training planes). Look at his decision to deliver 22 F-16s to Mursi, despite the man's sickening anti-semitic diatribes. Look at his wailing over Israeli building on the WB and the "occupation", while remaining silent on muslim Turkey's occupation of northern Cyprus. Look at Obama's continued efforts to blame israel for lack of a "peace process", when the actual obstacle is that the "Palestinians are divided, 50% of them under a Hamas ruler who rejects any recognition of Jewish israel, meaning Abbas can not deliver on "peace"no matter what israel does. Obama is a phony and a fraud, and Israeli university students will be the first to evaluate the facts and recognize that.

I would not invite visit or talk to the Student of Ariel, and I am an Israeli, so you want the President of the US to do it ???? Well, he is the best president for the US, and this is the only criterion the American Jews used when they voted for him. Do you elect Prime Minister according to how good he is to England ??

Obama will visit Israel and do all the things expected from him including visiting Jerusalem , the heart and soul of Judaism as well as the spiritual center of Christianity and the 3rd holy site of Islam. It is clear that Obama's whole point with this trip is to frame himself as a progressive leader in touch with the youth while ignoring the rest of the Israeli public, lead by Netanyahu, who he despises. He's going to babble on and on at every opportunity he gets about how enamored he is with this new young generation of Israelis, so advanced, so global, so in sync with modern sensibilities, so full of new possibities- always the new, young generation though- watch carefully and you will see. That is why he is speaking in a hall filled with college kids instead of at the Knesset, and giving these weird comments about hanging out with college kids in Tel Aviv. It is really a devious insult if you think about it. The message is - Most of Israel today is not where the solution lies, at best I will talk to your 17 year old kids, maybe they have more sense. The last time he addressed students had been in Egypt and we know the result of his speech. I wonder what he has to say to young well-educated Israelis as the president of a morally and financially and intellectually bankrupt country.
