I am not religious, I am married to a Chinese, I have very few Jewish friends. I work and live mostly among Anglo Saxon, African and Chinese Americans. I travel a lot for business. In my opinion the real numbers among ordinary Americans of all walks of life must be higher support for Israel then this poll indicates. And Edthann; if you really live in US you must be living somewhere where the KKK is very active and strong and you don't see more of USA then that.

It's interesting why this disparity exists? I tried to understand it in the past and think it's still the result of wwII and the holocaust. Older Americans (may) still have some guilt in them for not helping European Jews more. And they think Israel and Jews are one and the same. Younger Americans understand better that Israel is a Nation while Jews are (mostly) religion, so they are more critical toward Israel while still liking their fellow Jews in America. Plus, the younger have no guilt feelings. Anyhow, Israelis ought to recognize that there is no anti-Semitism in the U.S. while there are individual anti-Semites and hate criminals.

the survey was done via telephone. there is no way of knowing what religion the person has on the other side of the line. hence, you "theory" is faulty.

survey is conducted every three years, not every month as you claim. surveys such as this are conducted in most conflict based regions of the world by pew surveys, the most predictable survey type in the world. the fact that you may not like the results of any particular survey doesn't change the fact of its results at all. the most important fact is that the results stayed the very same for years and years and years. the american support for jihad is negligeable as you can see and will continue to be so. the usa is bonded with israel based on its judeo christian moral values. and americans are smart and aware enough to see how the other side conducts their lives, acts and behaves. hameed aboughaze, iranian
