As much as I would want to see a definite similarity beween our two countries situation, I can't help but remaining aware of the vast difference between christian (catholic or protestant) and Muslim mentalities, and while I see individual muslims willing to accept reconciliation, Islam as a fundamental, unbending, irevocable part of Muslims around the world will not let this happen. Our presence in the middle east is enough to fan the winds of hatred and extremism for generations and will not let up, returning of occupied territories notwithstanding. This said, we should try to live with a state called Palestine, we are strong enough to handle all eventualities including peace.
2. I can't second guess her
Ron ,   OC, US   (03.18.13)
My reaction if an Arab had killed my father would be different. Perhaps not better, but certainly different.
3. sickening
yoni ,   israel   (03.18.13)
The concept of Justice has left our world all but entirely in our generation. It is sad and sickening to see the twisting and distortion of Justice. It is sad to see people hide behind their weakness calling it forgiveness and twisting the reality to such an end that they cannot bring justice to their own fathers murderer. Those who are forgiving of murderers will never be forgiven by the future victims of the murder they have forgiven. We were given our world with the responsibility to care for it and bring those who do evil to justice. To eradicate evil must never be looked at as evil. Those who forgive evil are the supporters of that same evil and are responsible for its foothold in our world. Murderers should never be forgiven in our world.
4. There're many stories of unnatural behaviour on AnimalPlanet
tom ,   tel aviv   (03.18.13)
but we're not expect to change our perception of the world, because a lioness was seen taking care of a goat ....? It is certainly not Israel that needs to hear such stories.
5. #2
Walla ,   USA   (03.18.13)
Is your reaction going to be different if only Arab kills your father or if yor father gets killed by any human being? Will it be different if the killer is Mexican, for example? Don't you think a killer is a killer? They're are hundreds maybe thousands of Jews in Israel with Arab blood on their hands and they know it. Shalom.
6. she has some issues
k ,   US   (03.18.13)
I am sorry if someone killed my father I sure as hell would now want to sit and have lunch with them I guess it is like stockholm syndrome, kind of like how Jews are flocking to Germany and pretending they like Germans, better to swallow your feelings then to face that anger that is inside of you
7. There are some things that should not be forgiven.
Rivkah   (03.18.13)
Should the murder of the Jews in the holocaust be "forgiven"? Should Jews kiss up to those who murdered their parents in the holocaust? Are you kidding me? Yahweh has not fogiven the Babylonians for destroying the First Temple nor has He forgiven the Romans for destroying the Second Temple in Jerusalem. Their judgments have been a long time in coming. Iraq will become uninhabitable forever and Rome will be destroyed, too. AFTER the penalty, THEN God can forgive but not before. So when this creature from Satan's lagoon dies and is in hell, THEN the Lord will remember and perhaps be kind to his descendants AFTER four generations.
8. This woman instead of living...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (03.18.13)
the rest of her life with hate in her heart, tries to do something positive out of the horrible misfortune that happened to her. Why blame her?
9. Drinking tea with the enemy
tiki ,   belgium   (03.18.13)
The 'hungerstriker' who was send back to gaza was 'forgiven and given a second chance, which he used to go back to terror. The former (Jewish) mayor of Amsterdam was famous for drinking tea with the enemy, which resulted in parts of Amsterdam looking like Gaza, having a non Dutch majority and becoming an unsafe place for Jews, homo's a.o. If it worked out for these two people, than that's fine. I just don't know if her father, deprived of his future by this man with twisted ideologies, would agree.
10. It is true forgiveness means giving up avenging oneself on
Rivkah   (03.18.13)
the wrongdoer. But God does not forgive sins against His elect. If Robi's father was not God's elect and he went to hell, God can forgive his killer. But if Robi's father was one of God's elect, then God will not forgive until the fifth generation since the sins of the fathers are visited upon the children to the fourth generation. After that, God can forgive. But sometimes God never forgives. That is something to keep in mind when harming other people's lives. When Cain slew Abel, he was held accountable for all the generations of Abel who were not born because Abel was murdered. In Robi's situation, her father was murdered after he had a family. His seed was not cut off by the murder. In the Book of Jasher, Enoch who walked with God anciently, was taken to see many places including heaven and hell. In heaven, he saw Abel still weeping because his brother Cain had killed him. He would mourn until all generations of Cain were off the Earth. That is a longer vengeance than four generations unless the Great Flood wiped out Cain's descendants before four generations. Enoch was shown there are three levels in hell. One for violent murderers who are unrepentant. One for murderers who were not violent in their murders who were not repentant. The third and least worst level in hell is for those who are not murderers but who did not know Yahweh-Yehoshua and sing the song of Moses and the song of the Lamb while alive on the Earth.

not only the criminal, but all his relatives were executed after major crimes. A very good example of effective fight against arab terrorists.

stealing a loaf of bread was a hanging offense and I hear in Babylon 2500 years ago taking bribes was punishable by skinning the offender. Any other modern ideas for us? Maybe you should take a look at your own country first before you talk bad about others.
19. My reaction is different
Rivkah F. ,   jerusalem   (03.18.13)
I do not think I ever want to meet the man who planned the killing of my dear cousin who was in her early twenties when she was murdered on that bus. He is in jail and I hope he stays there forever (unless he was released in a prisoner exchange). I have no interest in meeting him or getting to know him or have a dialogue with him. I did not even think about him until I read this article and it brought it all back. The actual murderer blew himself up on the bus when he detonated the explosives. I cannot forgive these killers, only God does that. My family's "revenge" is to go on enjoying my family, living, helping others, giving charity, working, and growing spiritually and intellectually and being part of Jewish life in Israel, like my cousin was. May her memory be blessed forever.
20. 19 Rivka F.Personnaly i would be..
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (03.19.13)
utterly disgusted to meet the murderer, but i don t think that the daughter of the victim was wrong by doing what she felt would relieve her from having the rest of her life a heart filled with hate.
21. Well, Mr. Magee is showing remorse
Hanna ,   TA   (03.24.13)
But I've never heard about British criminal in uniform regretting about death of civilians he caused. And their's name is legion.
