1. Congratulations.
Luiz F Haddad ,   Niteroi, Brazil   (03.28.13)
Exactly for attitudes like the refered above, Israel is admired and loved by all democratic and humanistic people, around the world. Darkness against her will never prevail. We, true friends, fell ourselves much happy. Good Passover (Pesach) for you.
2. Bravo
Nice Bloke ,   Rochdale, UK   (03.28.13)
Bravo Israel. Also lets not forget the thousands of Palestinians who are routinely treated in Israeli hospitals. I bet this won't be making on to the BBC's news services.
3. AGAIN...ISRAEL SHINING GOD'S LIGHT AMIDST DARKNESS
Esther ,   Selkirk Canada   (03.28.13)
CONGRATULATIONS ISRAEL... I AM SURE OUR GREAT GOD IS WELL PLEASE
4. # 2 BBC Bias
Ian Lassiter ,   Bristol, England   (03.28.13)
No, it won't but then Jordan and Turkey are each hosting over 100,000 Syrian refugees, and they don't get praise every day on the BBC either! Although they have opened their boarders to those humans fleeing the murderous Assad regime, while Israel shot the Syrian refugees who tried to cross at the Golan. The BBC also doesn't report how Israel prevents the Palestinians buidling their own hospitals, or paying much attention to the IDF check points across the West Bank that harras and stop pregnant/ill Pals from getting anywhere near a hospital. The BBC is far to Pro-Israel.
5. Great humanatarian work
Get Real ,   UK   (03.28.13)
As may attract many more casualties perhaps the UN should support this?

7. #4 What are you talking about?
Expat ,   Adelaide   (03.28.13)
Israel shoots Syrian refugees? Prevents Palestinians from building hospitals? Harass pregnant women? Have you any solid proof to this nonsense? As for Jordan's hosting of the Syrian refugees, the BBC also does not report how Jordanian men buy the services of Syrian women for a few dollars a day...
8. Reply to number 4 Jordan and Turkey
Sherlock Holmes ,   London England   (03.28.13)
Jordan and Turkey do not see Syria as an enemy who has previously taken part in attacks on their countries. Regarding other points Israel does provide the electricity and water for the PA and built their universities. There are hospitals serving the PA territories, although very difficult cases are taken to more specialist Israeli hospitals much as Arabs come to London and Paris for top specialists.
9. Olam HaEmess
Sherlock Holmes ,   London England   (03.28.13)
Very good indeed, and discreet, knowing the media will make a point of ignoring anything good Israel does -- or will anti-Zionists claim we are harvesting organs from injured Syrians? It seems you can't win -- in this world. Any reward will be in the Olam HaEmess, the World of Truth.
10. Soon we will see posts claiming
Stephen in New York   (03.28.13)
that the purpose of Israel's humanitarian gesture is to harvest organs.
11. Foolish Act
Phil N ,   Wheeling, IL, US   (03.28.13)
It is foolish to give any aid to either side in the Syrian civil war. Those same soldiers who Israel saves today would be more than happy to kill them tommorow. Let them die.
12. Ian @2, you do know that Israel and Syria are officially in
leo ,   usa   (03.28.13)
a state of war, right? Ian, you do know that Jordan and Turkey are not enemies of Syria, right? I do nmot care much for BBC, but your comparison is wrong.
13. Ian Lassiter
Non-Jew ,   England   (03.28.13)
The difference being, Ian, that Israel is officially still in a state of WAR with Syria, and therefore no reason to trust any Syrians, whereas Turkey and Jordan profess to be its allies - and incidentally have BOTH also fired shells into Syria in response to fire being directed across the Syrian border (note: not 'boarder', which has a totally different meaning) and into their territory. And as far as I'm aware, almost certainly because of this continuing state of war, no Syrians have attempted to cross into Israeli Golan as refugees during the Syrian conflict - and I have a personal interest in following what goes on in the Golan region. Also as far as I'm aware, the only people the IDF have shot at during the Syrian conflict have been some (not all) people who have shot at them first. However, if you know better, please provide links to the relevant news articles.

michele ,   Los Angeles   (03.29.13)
so many lies, Ian Lassiter! Israel prevents the palestinians from building hospitals and prevents aid to the pregnant and sick?? Please!
15. Well done Israel
John Mac ,   Ireland   (03.29.13)
Just another example of the fact that Israel is about the only civilised country in the region. Can this be released to the media here in Ireland through the embassy? It might give the tunnel visioned Irish media pause for thought.
16.  Something You Forgot
Oded Yaron ,   Israel   (06.12.13)
Israel is in a State of war with Syria
