The problem is that the Russian Jews have a different identification approach as compared to American Jews. Many Jews go to the synagogue for the first time in America or Europe one of the reasons is the physical synagogue building there is usually very esthetic roomy and welcoming not like the tiny ethnic unfriendly shoe box size esthetically/ architectually ugly beyond belief the services tend to be chaotic noisy unstructured one of the reason many who make Aliya who used to go to synagogue never do here . Good luck in trying to change things here sadly it will never happen.

Sour grapes. The Russians in Israel do have more culture and in many cases more education than the average Israeli. They also work harder and have more drive after being suppressed for so long. They contribute more to society on a whole, because there are so few religious freeloaders. They have had a positive impact. When I was in Israel, I saw Russian children reading Russian books after school. Better that than comics and video games. If it weren't for the Russians, many of the hi-tech companies would not exist. It has been a win-win situation. Or would this person rather have had the same number of Africans coming to Israel?
