ma nishma ,   modiin   (04.09.13)
how fortunate to have some one to blame instead of taking the blame for mistakes. Oh how I envy him...
2. The sure and only way to achieve..

progress is by recognizing one s failures and correcting them. Blaming others shows a feeble mind.

I don't understand the man. If you write a book or you make a thesis in order to get a PhD or whatsoever it's not forbidden to use ideas or quotes from another book, study, thesis,…if, I repeat if, you cite the name of the author and the title of that book, study, thesis,…. Maybe, he's right. Maybe, it's the fault of that student,...but anyway it was his job to read and check everything himself. I didn't read his book, but from the title I can guess that he also talks about religion (Torah,…), so I understand his shame because in the Pirkei Avot (chapter 6, nr.7), there is a quote: "…and repeating a saying in the name of the one who said it. For you have learned this: whoever repeats a thing in the name of the one who said it brings redemption to the world, as…". In my time as student there was a scandal because students were going to people - graduate former students, lectores - to write their thesis. Maybe, here, it's something similar. I don't know. I hope not.

If you lift a piece of text from somebody else's work you need to both cite the work and enclose the lifted text in quotation marks. Failure to do either constitutes theft of intellectual property and copyright infringement.. Blaming subordinates in plagiarism cases is very common. But if you want to pin it on another person, just make sure that this person is a coauthor of the work in question. Otherwise, you open yourself to charges of exploitation.

The more usual arrangement is where a professor uses his doctoral students' research, claiming credit for it. I would imagine a chief rabbi does have students to assist much as others have apprentices. Give him a chance to reply in full.

As I thought Gilles Bernheim would raise the intellectual and moral status of chief rabbi, compared to his predecessors acting as village wizards
8. bernheim

he must immediatly dismiss without any condition and keep silence for ever.
9. Bernheim has just dismiss!

10. Jewish trash, again...

The french jewish community will be better without him.

source. This is elementary jewish. How can Berhneim think he can be a rabbi and behave orthogonally to that very basic principles. He is a shame for the french jewish community.
