The heirs of the Lithuanian Jewish world and its synagogues are the great Litvish yeshivahs in Jerusalem, B'nei B'rak, , Lakewood, Baltimore, New York and Gateshead. Many Lithuanians helped the Nazis without even having to.

5. Sad Fate
Debbie Poznansky ,   israel   (06.05.13)
MATTIAS, Actually these countries owe a lot more than repairing the synagogues. They looted, robbed and murdered their Jewish neighbors, stole their money, art, jewelery, pets, homes and livlihoods. The Lithuanians, in particular, were more vicious and brutal than the Germans, torturing and massacring the Jewish population. They could not begin to atone for what they did, in a million lifetimes.
